Exclamation How about another LakeLand Mini Meet?

What a great time to be in the Florida G35 Club! People are modding their cars like never before... new wheels... superchargers... turbos... engine management systems... dynos... exhausts... hoods... springs... gauges... they all look great! Let's get together so we can all see them and have some fun!

It's been almost a year since we had our first Lakeland Mini Meet. It was a great success! Lakeland is about halfway between Orlando and Tampa. That makes it about a 45 minute drive from either city. There are a lot of nice restaurants in Lakeland, especially along Route 98.

Anybody feel like meeting up? It's early March and nothing's on the horizon... how about a meet the third or fourth week in March? It's just a 45 minute drive, so it won't be too taxing for anyone to drive over...

We could go to Don Pablos' Restaurant again. They had a large empty building next to them where we all parked. That would be cool. I remember a few steak restaurants there too.

What do you think?

Just remember that March 17 and March 24-25 will be car shows in Daytona and a lot of us will be there. Otherwise, I'm for meeting in Lakeland.

Are you joking because that would be April Fool's Day?

April 1st is a Sunday, not a Saturday... Otherwise, April 1st works for me...

Heck, I might even have my new wheels by then...

That only leaves the next week in March, which is probably too soon... or early April.

Maybe the first weekend in April would work out better.

He's got to slow down once in a while... for gas or food...

Go to Yahoo maps and enter the starting point as St. Augustine and end point as Lakeland. It's more than 15 miles.

That would be great if you could come. Nice bunch of people, cool G35's... what could be more fun...

I wonder if the store next to Don Pablos Restaurant is still empty. It made a great place to park. Actually, I wonder if the Don Pablos Restaurant is still there. Maybe you could check it out for us if people are interested in going back to Don Pablos. The next thing we'll need to decide is where we want to eat.

Sorry, I was just being a smart ***... You keep asking how far cities are from St. Augustine, and we don't have any idea.

Here's something that will help you.

Here's a link to Mapquest. Click on that link and then enter your address in the green Starting Location area, then enter the Lakeland address you want to go to in the Ending Location area, and press the Get Directions button.

Mapquest will print out all the driving instructions for your trip, show you a map, and also give you the distance in miles.

Here's the address of the Don Pablos restaurant we went to the last time we met in Lakeland. You can input it in Mapquest for the Ending Location and it will be accurate enough to give you a general idea on the distance from you to the Lakeland Meet.

Don Pablos Restaurant
3750 N. Road 98
Lakeland, FL 33809

863-858-6005

Don Pablos is still there. Plenty of parking spaces out back. Its just about right off of I4, easy access.
If that doesnt work out, Beefs' is in the same parking lot as Best Buy on the other side of the road. Huge parking lot and a popular hangout place for car enthusiasts on the weekend nights.
