2007 HIN Nightshift St. Petersburg - Pictures
Ferk and I went to the HIN Nightshift event in St. Petersburg Saturday night. It turned out to be a pretty wild event for the quiet city of St. Petersburg. They had a Mazda Driving Event, a Drifting competition, Motorcycle Jumping, and of course the Car Show.
HIN was in Tropicana Field, home of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
There was quite a crowd.
It turned out that Ryan (98intrigue) was able to make it to HIN after all. Here Ryan and Ferk talk about air difusion panels or something... Whos could know that Ryan would win Hottest Mild Infiniti later on that night !!! Congratulations, Ryan !!!
Ryan's engine was spottless, as usual !!!
Jose (dream_G35) entered HIN and also represented the Florida G35 Club. Jose's G35 was also looking spotless as usual. Congratulations, Jose !!!
There was lots of competition in the Infiniti category. This G35 Couple from the East Coast of Florida was looking good !!!
Another slick G35 Coupe that was a tribute to soldiers of the United States. It gathered quite a crowd.
A nice Z...
...and another nice Z...
I think this guy won an award for best hood... or... er... something...
Got a few more to post...
As usual, anyone that took pictures at the St. Pete HIN... Feel free to post them here...

Driven Concepts was represented well at the St. Petersburg HIN Meet. They had three cars that were very clean. This red Supra was awesome.
Likewise this black Supra. It must be a written rule somewhere that every Supra has to have a spotless engine compartment and a gigantic turbo...
This is Driven Concepts owner, Ian's Lexus... pretty sweet !!!
I thought this was an interesting innovation. A side view mirror that is actually an LCD screen with a backup camera mounted on it.
I'm not sure what it could do that a regular side mirror couldn't do, but it's cool. Maybe it provides a wider view of the road with a wide angle camera... ???
Obvious candidate for most chrome under the hood...
So, you have a Car-PC... Where do you put the keyboard... This guy found a novel place... on the back of the sun visor...
So you want to put hot racing seats and lap belts in your car, but you don't want to have to put in a pesky rool bar or cage... No problem... just weld a piece of flat plate on the ends of the mid hoop and no one will notice that the loose piece of pipe could kill you if you ever got in an accident...
There were a lot of unusual cars at this years HIN... But this truck was a topper... It had a live waterfall in the pickup bed... It's a bit hard to see here, but it actually worked...
The lowest car at HIN...
I've seen lots of people make clear hoods with Photoshop, but this is the first car I've seen that actually had a real partially clear hood...
Finally found out how he got it so low...
Maybe a few more...

Valvoline had a transportable Dyno at HIN. It was pretty cool...
This little Volkswagen is really slick. Car PC and lots of electronics...
Always my luck... The dude looks at me, and the hot chick looks somewhere else....
They had several drift cars making passes and tandem runs... This guys was pretty good...
This guys had a few problems at the end of his run... Note his bumper laying on the track and the barriers that he scattered coming in a bit too hot for the final turn...
Motorcycles even got into the Drifting show...
"LED Man" was a big hit once it got dark...
Ever hear of a band named "Pit Bull?" A few of the people at HIN had... Notice all the digital cameras in the audience...
I thought this was cool... It's a stick-on illuminated sign that flashes different letters and simulates motion... It's not any thicker than a normal stick on... I wonder how it works...
That's enough for tonight...
Did anyone get any pictures of Ryan and his trophy?
Post them up if you have some...

Hahaha... I guess I shouldn't have posted that message from Yoshi...
It's amazing how many people went there just to see Pit Bull.
