newbie question

yah so i kinda searched, im not real clear on what **** is though - is popcharger just a filter? like k/n or is it the thing that holds filter? im gettin job and **** gonna start moddin, i think i wanted stillen intake + stillen airbox, but everyones talkin about popcharger so i was tryin to figure out what it was and if it would go along with those or not.. now that i think of it, is stillen airbox the same thing? and z tube ?

and i guess while im at it - iwas looking at spacers, whats the diff b/w isothemeral and regular? i knw it absorbs heat but if im only goin like exhaust header intake spacer do i need isothermal? and it says 5/16 will fit on stock parts but nothing about the 1/2 spacer, will i need to alter anything?

popcharger is a type of short/ram air intake made by jwt. combine it with a z-tube and its 1 of the better intakes. stillen is also good. both of these will allow you to not have to worry about hydrolock (sucking water up your intake which may happen with a cold air intake if you're not lucky).

Isothermal isn't a spacer, it's a gasket that goes between the lower intake plenum and the engine block to help insulate the lower plenum from heat. The kit also comes with a valve to turn off coolant (antifreeze) to the throttle body to stop heating it up. You get the isothermal gasket and valve in conjunction with the plenum spacer.

Both the 5/16 and 1/2 inch spacers will fit and work well, but if you want to retain your engine cover, get the 5/16. You can't use the cover with the 1/2 inch spacer.

alright, hmm, thanks for that info, i thought might be somethin diff if i got the 1/2, still tempting for the few xtra hp. so i gues i should get the isothermal package vs the non isothemeral package? thanks for the info on the popcharger, I was thinking thats what it was, just wanted to be crystal clear.

The 1/2 inch spacer gives more upper RPM HP, but the 5/16 gives more usable HP.
