$100 seems really steep for what it is, that's all. I've done a lot of free work for other members, so maybe that's why.

$100 for rolling fenders is a good price. I paid $75 per side to have my fenders shaved at Racing Zone.

I had them shaved, rather than rolled, because I wanted to make sure nothing got bent and that the paint wouldn't crack...

I was originally going to just roll them myself, but hadn't done it on a car like mine before, so I opted to let Alberto do it. He's done a bunch, all with good results...

gilley for all the tools it was around 400$, and then factor in my labor time.. etc.. if you think its too much then dont do it. i was just being nice. also you want them rolled and not shaved because u want a blunt surface for the tire to touch if it ever does touch. a sharp cut surface will cut the tire.
when done right it doesnt crack the paint bends.

seems like a few of you guys are like "against" me for trying to be nice.. doesnt matter to me.

Sorry if my post gave you that impression. I mentioned I paid more than you are charging and though tit was a good deal... So, your price is certainly fair, as far as I am concerned...

As far as shaving vs: rolling, it's the owner's choice. I guess i've seen too many bad rolling jobs, so I opted for the shaving. It doesn't matter how sharp the edge is if you don't rub against it...

Sometimes it's hard to know what people are thinking about when they post on a Web Forum... Especially when all of us have known each other for years. You'll have to attend one of our local mini-meets. Let me know the next time you're going to be in Tampa and I'll set up a local meet at one of our hangouts.

ps: a local hangout is anyplace with good parking that doesn't kick us out.

I don't think anyone is against you. In fact, I'm sure we would all like to meet you and see your project in person. I hope you become a valuable member to the club and that we can learn from each other.

Maybe it sounds that way because I'm cheap and would rather do things myself. We generally help other club members for free when it comes to mods. Chuck and I have done a lot of work for our friends for free. This past weekend we did a complete brake job for one of our members for free that would have cost him at least $500 - $600 elsewhere. Sure I had to spend money on my tools, but I bought them because I needed them. I don't expect others to pay for them because I'm not in business. And since I rolled my fenders myself in about 15 minutes for each side, $100 seems a little high to me. But that's because I do things myself to save money and for a sense of accomplishment.

I didn't know that jb paid $150 to have his fenders cut, so I guess your price isn't bad after all. But then again, I would have done the cutting myself too rather than paying the $150.

I hope guys do come to you to roll their fenders (quarter panels really) so that I don't have to do it.

Come out and meet us sometime and lets all get to know each other better.

This is a club. We have had several meets since you started posting. Have you ever come out to meet us? How are we supposed to know you then? Do you ever intend to join the club and hang out with us or do you want to just hang out online?

+1 Yeah there is segregation among the group, but just enjoy your car and don't worry about them. That is nice that he has a discount on some great wheels, and understand his reasoning for the charge on the fenders. Not everyone is going to get the clicks help and free install and what not all the time with different things needed to be done. You're most likely going to pay more elsewhere at a shop, so it is a nice offer for him to do that. The price does seem a lil steep though, as he would probably get more business at a cheaper price in the long run. That's the great thing about the forum, there's more than one place to post, so don't let it get to you.

what is this click people keep talking about????

if there is one i would like to be in it.....

Gilley and chuck were just pointing out that a lot of people have their fenders rolled already and that its not that hard to do with a rubber mallet and a heat gun. i dont think they were trying to put a negative conotation to what they were saying. There is a lot of people in the club the have a lot of exp. with different mods. and what not. Im always willing to help with a free install to save someone money and I know i have been helped manytimes before as well. Thats how a lot of us got to know each other really well.

There are always going to be certain people that hang out more with each other when you get in a big groups together doesnt mean its a bad thing .

I know jason, lyndon and Dan all hand out quite a bit. just like me, Chuck and Gilley go out every so often. I talk to Dan, jason, Ryan, Jose, and Ian all the time online aswell.

So if that is a click than yes im in it.....but i have never excluded anyone and niether has FGC from what i know.

So dont get too sensitive on the subject just come out to meets as much as possible introduce yourself to people and let yourself be known. otherwise we will never know who you are and you will always be excluded from the "click".
