New Sub Install

Well thanks to help from all of you on here, my audio system is now MUCH better than stock. It actually sounds what I would consider very good. Not great or show quality, but still very good. The only stock components left are rear side panel speakers, bose amp and head unit.

I now have Infinity Kappas in the front doors (6.5 in) and rear deck (6x9). That made a huge difference in the highs and mids, but of course there was NO bass to be heard.

Enter JL Audio/4080 Enclousres/Alpine and Stereorama in Clearwater. They installed my rear deck speakers, sub and amp. Ther did a great job and wouldnt hestitate to go back for additional work.

If it wasnt for this forum and everybody on here, I would never have found 4080 or Stereorama so...thanks!!

Anyway, here are some pics of my new sub.

I didn't have them put a volume **** in. I asked them about it and they said they could, although it would probably require some drilling somewhere in the dashboard.

I'm actually happy with the volume of the sub overall. I can control it pretty well from the head unit itself.

I've used Stereorama since the early 80's whenever I've replaced head units or speakers in all my cars. They do great work and back it up if there are ever any problems.

Might be time to talk to them about a sub...Hmmm.

JB, I know I said exhaust would probably be first, but perhaps a sub? I'll have to think about that!
