Dan, I have a big reciprocating saw that we can use to open your fenders some more. It can cut the roof off of a car, so cutting your fenders off should be no problem.

are they too big or too small is the fit to tight? what could it be.. is the lug pattern wrong?

Too aggressive of an offset. The only way to make it work would be to install the wheels on a lift and align it right away with a ton of camber.
