How big is the crack? If it is over 3 inches your insurance will fix it for free. If it is not 3" or bigger shoot me a PM a guy down here will 3 way call the insurance company with you and tell them it is 3" or bigger so you don't have to pay.

your insurance in the state will replace or repair your windshield for free. They will repair if it's too small so make sure it's a larger crack

as a matter of fact, they will come to you and repair is like 20 mins.

Covered by my insurance.

I never done the claim so I'm not sure if you pay the deductible or not.

like I said, Fla auto ins. will cover damaged windshields. No deductible (at least in the three I witnessed).

I'm an Auto Adjuster by trade: There is no deductable for a replacement of a front windshield nor will it go against you as a claim. Call your insurance agent and he will get the glass company in touch with you. They will come right to your work or home and replace it for you.

^ Only if you have comprehensive coverage. If you only have liability coverage on your car, a new windshield is out of your pocket. I know that's not Eric's case though.

Florida Statute 627.7288 Comprehensive coverage; deductible not to apply to motor vehicle glass.--The deductible provisions of any policy of motor vehicle insurance, delivered or issued in this state by an authorized insurer, providing comprehensive coverage or combined additional coverage shall not be applicable to damage to the windshield of any motor vehicle covered under such policy.
