Everyone always recommends them on a local board. I just hear they do good work, but I don't have any personal experience with them. Thanks for the heads up though...I'll have to keep that in mind when I look for body work myself in the future.

for lack of better terminology, local boards tend to be full of "nuthuggers".

Shady is an understatement. When my old turbo hatch was in their possession for paint and body work, they drove it to pick up paint supplies or something, and ended up racing someone on the street that I knew. Info got back to me, and I was not pleased. Sh*t took forever too! Plus I know people that have gotten work done, and surprise!! You have Elite paint & body stickers UNDERNEATH the clearcoat on the sides and rear bumper!!! WTF!

I hate body shops with a passion. Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I'm gonna take this one kinda slow, and do some research. Gotta save a lil bit of cash too. I'm budgeting about 5grand for the paint. It's not going to be a showcar or anything...Just a nice driver.

photoshop = instant drop, haha

Do you know Gary Brown? He did Holman's front end conversion on his white prelude, he painted and installed my busted *** ings+1 kit on the g35 and he specializes in older custom hot rods. I am actually not sure if he is still in business, but worth checking out...

Last but not least, O'steens does GREAT work if you talk to the right people. My mom took her lexus there to get a new rear bumper and they did a great job.

Want to open our own shop?? I want to restore a GTO for my mom and a lincoln continental for myself!

Hey Jason, hahaha...remember, I think the first time i ever saw your turbo maxima was at Johnny's custom creations... God I wasted some serious $$$ at that place.

And for some reason, I can't picture you in an old Lincoln continental, haha.. Although i did spot this crazy sleeper on car domain the other day... I know it's a totally different car, but I just thought of it when you said Lincoln.

it's a buick roadmaster

That '67 Camaro is a beauty... I had a '68 that was similar...

Is it a three speed 2 barrel?

Jon, are you sticking with that color?

I think that the factory Supra Baltic blue would look hot on that car and looks similar to the color you have now.

Caesor was the one who painted my AIT kit...he did an "OK" job on it. But than again he was recommneded to me by a friend, and i got an awesome deal, but i guess it was my fault. you get what you pay for. Visual FX seems to be a good place. Pricy but probably worth it.

I would seriously think about taking the car to a veteran in the muscle car industry, someone that comes recommended and you know will do flawless work. You may end up paying 10k for transit and paint/body, but when you want to unload the car it will be well worth it!

You going to have me do the kendale website so I can start my 996TT fund??

Thanks man...the car is a plain jane base camaro. 327cid / 210hp v8 engine with the 2-speed powerglide tranny. If I had a choice on the color, I would change it to a nice metallic gunmetal color...But it turns out, this is the original color (tahoe turquoise) actually everything is original! haha The car is complete, so i guess i'll keep it the original color. If it had been a total rust bucket, with missing parts, i would go total pro-touring with a big block swap, mini-tub the rear, air suspension, yada yada, hehe... Maybe on the next car.

Jason-sorry I can't help you on the 996TT fund man. The last thing on my boss's mind these days is the website. Which sucks, cuz it needs an overhaul bad!

When's the next jax meet guys? We all need to get together and have a few beers!
