Dyno Day @ S&r Performance
#46
I'll probably drive over to see what's going on. It looks like they're under new management, so that can be good or bad. I Googled them and found their website:

Interesting that they spell import with an "N" all over their website... plus their "Inport Forum" doesn't even have Nissan in it, much less Infiniti.
Never the less, that doesn't mean that they don't do good work. It just means that their website designer isn't into the car scene and they haven't proof read the site yet.
I also found a link about them on TampaRacing. Looks like they've just changed management. Funny that there's no mention of this dyno day on the Tamparacing forum or their S&R forums.

Has anyone checked to see if S&R Performance is still sponsoring this meet? Eric, have you talked to S&R lately?
The TampaRacing thread has some nice pictures of their shop. It's a nice place and certainly clean. They don't seem to talk much about what they do best, or what they have done in the past. Maybe that's because they're a new shop.
They have a DYNOmite dyno. I've never heard of a DYNOmite dyno before, so I'm not sure what kind it is.

Sounds like a nice trip over to Tampa to see what's going on. Dyno Days are always fun.

Hey guys! Yes, this is our (350z Club of Florida) March 15th Event and would love to invite you all to join us. I am sure Bobby will not mind. The more, the merrier.
Also, there was a response to explain the situation of the "blown engine on the dyno" This is what was said: Every dyno has had a engine blow at sometime. Brothers Racing and Z Fever have had numerous engines blow. It is a long story but that was a Evo that had engine work done on it not at S & R. No stock engines have blown. We have done several 350Zs and last weekend we had 16 cars dyno without an incident.
We have had several of our Z's in their shop and there has been no issues. Bobby is great to work with, super nice shop, fair pricing and work is done in a timely manner.
We have a list on those attending so Bobby knows how much food to bring. Please start a list and then maybe you can PM it to me on our site John? I see some of you saying your going just to get the free food? Please keep in mind,..this is our event that we have had scheduled for about a month now and Bobby agreed to supply some burgers or something since it is a club event. I really hope we don't have a bunch of cars pull in, grab food and leave. That wouldn't be fair to Bobby. Hopefully you understand.
