Exhaust Question

What do you guys recommend for exhaust and what do you think about free flow cats/ test pipes? Are they worth it? Which would you recommend? Just got the car so everything is new to me!

depends what kind of sound you want for the exhaust. your best bet is listening to someones setup that lives around you.

Not sure where you live, but go to one of the local FGC meets and look at other people's exhaust and see what you like. You'll be able to listen to them there, too.

Are you planning on going FI in the future? Or would that not matter as much?

I figure if he is he can narrow his searches down to an exhaust that would fit his future setup best.

None of the exhausts will gain you a heck of a lot of power gains, so it is mostly a sound preference or a choice based on whether you are going forced induction or not.

I like some exhausts a lot more than others and those other exhausts have large followings. So it's personal preference.

Exhaust systems....?

Since I'm on my third exhaust system don't make the same mistakes I've made. Go to meets in your area and listen to guys cars, and how they sound.
Yes, you can go on line but the only way to tell is when you stand next to
or listen to a G take off while your standing there. The best system I've
heard recently was on Zacks G35 with a Amuse system....angry growl. This
system is available from www.rarejdm.com.

Good advice. My other question is do you guys use free flow cats or test pipes and if either have any meaningful power gains! Seems like I'll be going to a meet soon!
