Remember... When putting your rims back on...

Make sure you ACTUALLY tighten the lug nuts before driving down the block and speeding around turns...

AND watch your fingers...

...that is all...

@ kgreene

EDIT: So now I'll tell the story...

So, most of you have seen this thread, https://g35driver.com/forums/florida-g-club/225763-need-03-front-coupe-struts.html , Kevin needed some struts. Well, He got them today and we put them on this afternoon. If anyone has changed the struts or springs themselves, you know it's a PITA to take out. Well, we got the car back together, and Kevin was so anxious to test out the struts, he only "finger tightened" the lugs nuts on BOTH front tires, lets the car down, and he takes off around the block. A minute later, I see him WALKING back to his house with this, "I just shat my pants" look on his face. PRICELESS The wheels never actually fell off, and everything was fine once he tightened the lug nuts AND the struts work GREAT!!!

And the finger part...

We tried calling Bernard (black_sedan) to help with the struts, but he didn't call back, UNTIL THE SECOND WE WERE DONE, (like that wasn't great timing). Kevin told him we were calling because we needed help and didn't know what we were doing. But since he didn't answer we tried doing it our selves, and in the process, i busted up and cut off one of my fingers. Kevin had him going pretty good...

All in all, it was a great day !!!

after i put my front wheels back on after replacing some headlight bulbs, i hear a vibration type tire noise when driving.. does this mean some of my lugs aren't tight enough? should I go around all of them and tighten them more?

In this case, the torque was "finger tip tight"

Someone set that guy up deliberately, why would ALL the wheels fall off at the same time?

Ouch

I will be sure to file this under "Duh" but it can easily happen to anyone.

Oh and if you have BBK dont crush your finger when mounting the wheel back on either. Did that last weekend and my finger nail is still purple.

I bet Kevin was I know how you feel, but you did it to yourself instead of an actual Company.

Did you mess up your wheels any?
