canon rebel xti or xsi?

hmm, what's your take? i am planning on getting xsi!

i've read reviews and found out the differences..hardly any differences for a non-experience user..but i'm willing to learn and take classes to reap in the benefits of using this digital camera.

but i want your opinion or take on this!

thanx!

XSI is a higher quality introductory SLR than the XTI. It is better, but I don't think it justifies the price. If I were you, I'd get the XTI. You can take just as good pictures with the XTI as you can the XSI. Sure, the XSI has more megapixels. But, megapixels only matter if you're blowing up pictures and developing them. I hardly doubt you're gonna' take pictures and develop pictures the size of your wall. If you're looking at developing small pictures, XTI will be fine. Save some money, get a better lens.

If anything, once you get used to it, you'll want to upgrade and upgrade. Probably to an EOS 40D. I say, save your money, get the XTI. Get a feel for SLRs. Use the money you saved to get a nicer lens. When you want to upgrade, don't go for the XSI, jump for the EOS 1Ds Mark III.

Check out the XT...

It takes the same quality as the XTI (some tests it's even better) the only things it lacks from the XTI is that it's a 8.1MP & the LCD is slightly smaller..

it's only $400-$500

yea, go do a google search, there you will find some online classes that cost more than I care to pay. You can find a lot of blogs and tutorials that will teach you the basics and will most all tell you that to not waste your money on the classes or do photography for a living. The best way to learn is through practice

ok advices will be noted....no online classes or do photography for living...

i personally like to enjoy taking pictures and make pictures enjoyable. Photography profession is not really my thing because i do not have the drive for it.

but i like to use this as a hobby and to learn how to appreciate taking pictures and taking it to the next level rather than just random point and shoot...
