This mod just eliminates an extra, unused idler puller. It doesn't underdrive or overdrive the alternator or anything else, unless you have some unique setup that I've never seen before. I just happened to remember that this pulley did originally drive the alternator or something, but your '05 should be OK.

It gets rid of about three pounds of weight in a good spot - the front of the car... it cleans up the look of the front of the engine... It increases the engines ability to rev faster (by a minimal, probably unmeasurable amount...)... and is a cool thing to do. Infiniti/Nissan did it themselves on newer models.

Danny's going to e-mail an installation guide to me, so we'll have some good instructions.

If we are looking for pictured instructions, we will need to do this on a stock car and then an underdriven pulley car.

I was trying to think of the last time we got together. I think it was at the Lokey Meet in '07. I'll never forget your diamond plate upper plenum... Nice piece of work.

I'm getting ready put a new NA motor in my G and I want to eliminate the front idler pulley per Andrew's diagrams. These spacers will come in handy. I bought a OC '06 revup engine that Jeremy's building, then I'm going to drive my G over for the swap. Should be fun.

I'm also interested in your oil and throttle body warmer, radiator and thermostat bypass piping modification. Do I have to ship my pipe down to you, or can you mod a new one and I just buy it from you? I really like the idea of cleaning up the under-hood area... That's a really cool mod.

I miss getting together with you guys. Maybe we can set up a meet halfway between Tampa and Miami if you guys would be interested.

Thanks again!
sounds like a cool project you and Jeremy are working on

i like the idea of a meet, maybe somewhere in btwn like naples of something around there

as far as the cooling mod, you can buy a new one but i think they are kinda expensive

We have been thinking about having a meet at Cocoa Beach similar to the meet we had there about two years ago. Last time we rented a pavilion right on the beach with plenty of parking. It was good for the car guys and the rest of the family could go to the beach and swim... they also had a playground for younger kids.

Since all three of us are on the FGC BOD, let's move the discussion there. Don't want to take the spacer thread off track.

As far as the spacers go, I'll probably wait until I get them to start giving them out.

We'll make a separate/new thread for that.
