You should hear it! I was lucky enough to drive it in a circle, haha. He also holds the record for the fastest GTR...I believe it went in the 10.60s before blowing the tranny.

Yea, the Lotus is like a true sports car. I heard somewhere that the founder of the Lotus brand had an obsession with making things lightweight. One of his first endeavours involved making a building out of aluminum.

I guess that didn't work out too well. But lightweight car? Now that sounds like fun.

 

Have you ever driven one? I wouldn't say it's a true sports car....it's more along the lines of a track car that's street legal. Just getting into the driver's seat requires a 3 step process.

 

it also depends on how short you are ! thats usually a 1 step process!

 

I've got a guy in my parking garage that drives an Exige. It's sooo nice. But alot of the owners that come to these that drive Lotus, Ferrari's and Lambo's live in my building. Most of which are yellow. Weird - not alot of red's or blacks.

 

I don't think that Lotus should be put in the same class as Ferrari and Lamborghini.
