Meet up at CFRC

I talked to the owner last night and he said if we want, instead of renting the track he can open the track an hour early and let us run before their normal open track wednesday nights. Of course we would still have to pay the normal charge if we were to run the track or just the spectator fee. I think it would be great to have a group of G's on the track at once (they space the cars out so it's not crowded). I had a blast out there last night. It was a lot of fun. We could still plan on renting the track for a large meet up, but in the mean time I think having a Wed. night meet at the track is a good idea. If anybody is interested let me know, I have the coordinators direct e-mail and will let her know we plan on meeting there early. Again I had an awesome time out there. Let me know what everybody thinks. (Also they have a hot food stand out there if anybody gets hungry!)

Exams end Monday for me. I will finally have no class on Wednesdays, so I'm totally down!

Cool. I'd like to have enough people before I contact them to make it worth they're time to open it early. So if enough people are interested by this Wed. I will definitely contact them.

I would be interested in coming out and watching first to check things out before putting my car on the track. I checked out their website.

It's nice what they are doing in conjunction with the police in opening up their track to give people a place to race so they don't do it on the streets.

I was a little hesitant at first about putting my car on the track but i after i got out there I was glad I did. Believe me, there are some cars out there that you wouldn't think would be out there. If you can find the line and hit the apex you'll be alright. There are some hazards out there(tires, walls, posts...) but I think you would really have to lose it to hit them. It's a lot of fun.

Just remember... Most Insurance companies will NOT pay if wrecked on a race track, for those of you who care... Everyone be careful... and Drive it like ya stole it!!!

Yea, I may do the same thing. Try it before you buy it!

Yes you have to be careful, but like I said I think you would really have to lose it to hit something. they take you on orientation laps so you can see the line. you don't have to push too hard unless you are comfortable and they also space you out so you are not bunched up. I don't think they wanna see you crash anymore than you do.

I've been on the Gainseville track, as well as Ian. I don't think there are any other members that have been here long enough to remember that.
