F*** paypal!

So a few weeks ago I am on my way back to Toledo and I get on my paypal to handle a dispute. I see a -500 dollar balance and call their was a dispute for a cell phone I sold " unauthorized transaction" The person who bought my cell phone is scamming me saying that they never authorized the trade. And paypal said tuff its coming from the seller. Keep in mind it took the Buyer a month before they filed a claim! Who doesn't see a payemtn sent for a month? They said since I didn't have a tracking number I wasn't protected. So now I have to go back to Orlando and hope to find a tracking number showing it was delivered.

Fast forward to today on my personal accoun,t I bought something, needing to make payment fast I wanted to use my debit card which is tethered to my acct, It went through as an e-check and would take time to clear. I call paypal 3 times that day each time being placed on hold for 20 mins asking questions about why I could not use my debit card. All agents stated that if the seller clicked cancel, the transaction would stop. I check my bank acct today and it is over drafted paypal withdrew 1,000 dollars. Paid the seller and kept the extra in my acct. I contact them today and was directed to a supervisor in which I had to wait even longer for. He pretty much stated tuff not our problem and that the agents your spoke to were wrong. You will have to wait 3-4 days for it to process and most likely with the holiday it wont be in your checking acct. So those who use paypal beware. They don't care about their clients.

so are they screwing you out of that $500?

and who are they to authorize an additional $500 to be placed into your paypal account?

call your bank and tell them you did not authorize those transactions and u want to put a stop payment on them.

I have to transfer the extra money back to my bank acct which can take 3-4 days but its a holiday weekend.....

And I cancelled my bank acct off my business acct so they can't take it out but they will just turn it into collection if i don't pay it.

Yeah paypal has it's issues. I've had a couple disputes with them in the past as far as transactions goes. I had a lot more success dealing directly with my CC company in getting the issue resolved. Good luck with the troubles man.

I am going to BBB about it I think and if I find out that PayPal is wrong about the cell phone incident not only am I going after the person who bought the phone for mail fraud but I will go after PP for being an accomplice to it from what I was told I have that legal right not saying PP will pay out or anything but its worth something.

its amazing the government hasnt investigated this mafia style type of organization. they bully and push customers around like no ones business. God forbid you want to talk to some who might have some compassion about how they royally screwed up your accounts.

i had a same situation 2 years ago, sold something thats worth 750 bucks. sent it through post office with confirmation # . 1 month later the buyer dispute it with paypal and immediately refund his money! -750 on my acc, called up pp and they basically told me if i didnt have a signature confirmation they wont help me a get a penny back. i was told anything over 250 you need signature confirmation, if not they wont do ****.
till this day i have a neg balance with them and dont plan on paying a penny back to them, unless maybe they bring it down to about 1/2 and ill think about it.

Have they turned it over to a collection agency?

I dont think they can do that. You could take them to court and show that the item was delivered.
