Heres another thread from me trying to get **** done for cheap lol.

Alright long story short car is close to 70,000 no warranty obviously. Need alot maintenance work to give me peice of mind when im driving. Heres what I plan to get done through a dealership (aka Atlantic Infiniti so i can get a loaner car or Mike Shad Nissan).
- Transmission flushed and refilled
- Both drive and serpentine belt replaced
- Replace both Window and Lock motor/sensor
- Plus whatever else is included in a 70,000 mile service

I called not too long ago and got a quote from Atlantic without mentioning the window and lock issue and they quoted me around 700 bones. Kinda steep but when they know about the window and locks I wont be surprised if it goes above a stack. HELP?

Other Misc. **** I need to get done is get my front bumper resprayed with REAL paint lol, a buddy of mine's friend quoted me 150 bucks, so unless someone can beat that ill be going there.
Also I need to get my tint stripped and re tinted, looking for 15%, Jason has a dude and he guessed it would be around 150 also.
Than I plan on getting the 1 year alignment deal again at TK Perfomance.

I think thats sums it all up. I was also thinking about puttin my brothers Borla exhuast on, but I know Im going to need an extended Y/X pipe or just piping period, been a while since I looked into exhaust. Anyone know anybody with a lift and time?

Im just thinking out loud, but the big thing is the dealer, i dont wanna spend that much money!

 

Yeah the door lock actuators at Orlando Infiniti run about $135/each at cost, I don't even want to know how much they charge above cost. I think we're planning on doing the $5 fix sometime soon here in Orlando.

I have a friend that does tinting and it would probably run you around $100 or so, depending on the film used. He's also in Orlando.

I also have a paint guy but he's also in Orlando and idk how much he'd charge, you'd have to call. (I'm not being much help here am I... )

Belts are cheap.

You can get a 5-year alignment deal at Tire Kingdom for like $150 or so.

Check the Marketplace for Y-pipes.

 

you're not going to get that kind of a hookup at a dealership. only infiniti does loaners. your best bet for the maintenance work you need is a hookup at a regular shop that knows these cars. cant recommend anywhere in town really. all of that will be expensive.

for the bumper, that sounds like your best deal.

tint is decent. i used jasons guy for my 5% on the 35 and it was ok.

for the exhaust, might as well take it to a muffler shop and get a custom piece of pipe done cheap.

Members of the Florida G Club get a 10% discount on parts and labor at Lokey Infiniti in Clearwater. One year memberships are $40, so that would save you a bunch and join the FGC at the same time.

I assume you are close to Orlando... Might be worth the drive... Certainly worth the drive when you consider the skills of Lokey's mechanics... up to you.

 

hes in southern jax. but ya, lokey might be your best bet for all the work. join up and make a day trip out of it. they have some good techs down there. they took care of jasons hub/stud problems when we went down for a big meet a year or 2 back.

 

im actually talking to a guy from Ocala from a shop names SpeedLab. Might just head down there one weekend and get the front painted and interior retinted and have maintenance work done there too. Cool guy, anyone ever been there?

ill have 1k in your pocket the 15th...so there's a start for you.

and talk to my about bringing your car in for him to do some of the work for you.. with him and he will give you a good deal. he's got a few lifts, tools, parts, etc.

 

i think im pretty set on goin down south with Cramhead to Ocala. if anyone else wants to come with please do haha.
