Sorry, I've never put a PC in a car. My thoughts would be to make sure it was mounted so it wouldn't shake itself apart. The CarPC you have a link to looks like it would survive life in a car.

It looiks like the CarPC in your first link is designed to survive the vibration in a car... Intel Atom CPU is fairly new processor... 1gb RAM is pretty cool... It's basically a Netbook configuration. It's not going to be a hot rod PC, but I think it would be fine for a car.

However... That 8.4" Xenarc touchscreen really looks hot... If you're up to the task of modifying the dash for it to fit... that might be the plan.

Start a separate thread and let us know how your project is going... We'd all like to follow along...

Hey everyone! I landed in Colorado Springs last night. Got back to my parents house around 1:30am EST and it was 31 degrees. I slept all morning and I got my coffee and I'm good to go! It's a bit too chilly to venture outside just yet but I will be taking lots of pictures!! Happy Friday.
