its pretty embarrassing that we had to have someone from another country come in here and clean this up. hopefully you people can learn a lesson from this and act a little more grown up. we've always been a club of fun people that give each out a little **** but it was between friends and never a personal attack. hope to see things clean up a little now.

That happens because some people cant take a joke, and they live and breath these forums. Some people need to really chill out around here. Whats embarrassing is for someon from here going on the admin forums and throwing someone else under the bus.

Lenox does not desrve to be banned at all. He expresses his opinions just like everyone else. Just because he doesnt discriminate who he tells it to doesnt make him a bad person, it makes him more of a person.

But just the thought that you cant speak your mind here because,

a. posts get deleted
b. get banned
c. or get disiplined

Its just nuts. I didnt pay this site and my350z to support a forum that is like living in a communist country.

The worst part of it all, is no one talks about any of this at the meets.
Im about to be done with this section, and Im sick of the drama.

I feel like these may have been overlooked lately. Here is a refresher as to why certain posts get deleted and certain people get banned. This is not directed towards anyone in particular. But I feel like everyone needs to be reminded of this. As a BOD of this club, I am disheartened that a conflict between two people can escalate to such a mess. It makes everyone look bad and gives the FGC a bad name. Please leave the drama and the BS out of this forum.

we are expanding the use of the current infraction/warning system.

When corrective actions are required, the member will receive detailed reference to the Forum Rules to help him/her understand the correction that is being asked for. If you receive a warning from the system, please do not take it personally. That is not the intention.

This system also provides the users with direct feedback on their status on G35Driver with a points system. The point system helps remove the ambiguity of time outs and banishments by the staff.

With an Infraction the user will receive a point(s) depending on the Forum Rule broken.
With a Warning, the user will receive no points; a warning is more of a caution to follow the Forum Rules.

**NOTE; Moderation of the rules has not changed, and for clarity the rules have been consolidated into one location.

The details of the system are as follows:

Rule#...Infractions………………….Points
#1 Pornography = 1
#2 Discrimination = 2
#3 Links to Other G35 Forums = 1
#4 Posting Personal Information = 1
#5 Posting in Inappropriate Forums = 0
#7 Failure to use Search = 0
#8 Excessive Meaningless Posts = 1
#9 Commercial/Promotional Material = 2
#10 Harassment/Flaming = 2
#11 Signature Rules = 1
#13 Copyright Infringement = 1
#14 Spamming Multiple Threads = 1
#15 Rehashing = 0
#16 Private Classifieds Rules = 1
#18 Group Buy Rules = 1
#19 Advertising without Vendor Membership = 1
#20 Forum Content, Inappropriate Language = 1
#21 Street Racing or Unsafe Driving = 1
#22 Multiple User Accounts = 3
#23 Navigation / Video Bypass = 1

Others
Abuse of Tagging System = 1
Disrespecting Staff = 3
Breaking any other Rule (explained) = 1

If points are issued, they are permanently recorded and as they accrue they will result in the following action;

3 points = 1 day ban
5 points = 3 day ban
7 points = 2 week ban
10 points = 1 month ban
>10 points = permanent ban

People can speak their mind here all they want, so long as it's done in a mature and respectful manner. You can voice your opinion on a subject quite easily without name calling or flaming remarks. The rules that are in place today are the same rules that were put in place back in 2002 when the forum was created, and the Staff of Driver expect they be followed. I can assure you that no one got thrown under the bus here.

Aww, well I hope I didn't contribute to this mess in a bad way. I honestly was just trying to help by maybe injecting a little thought and discussion. I'm speaking my opinion too, and I'm not interested in censoring myself. But I'm choosing a different way of communicating, too.

Anyways, good morning! Are we still taping up Friday morning? (O-Town)

I need everyone's opinion - should I tape my new bumper? It was painted on August 7th. I hypothetically will be taping it on Sept 4th. That's enough time for the paint and clear coat to cure, right? Is it even worth taping it up for the poker run?

Heh, well my bumper and hood looks like crap****e. I do soooo much highway driving already, so there's virtually no reason to protect it as is the primary reason for taping it up. So I'm probably doing it just for fun. Not necessarily to protect anything.

As for you, I'm thinking that's enough time for it to cure. Especially in the Florida sun. But I'm not expert.
