and there is space in space because of the gravitational pull of the sun. It pulls these giant pieces of rocks (called planets) in a circular orbit around it, and each rock (planet) has its own gravitational force which helps stabilize it and keep it at a distance away from every other rock (planet) thus creating a space in between each rock (planet)
and our sun behaves the same way.... only instead of with other planets, it does the same thing with other suns, only the "space" is much MUCH larger
