HELP! Need Florida Assistance...

My parents are (stuck) in Boca Raton, FL right now on a road trip from Toronto where we live. They actually drive a Buick Park Avenue, but the Buick forums aren't very active. They said their car had symptoms of stumbling/bucking both at idle and while in gear. My guess is it's probably a sensor like a MAFS, TPS, IACV, etc...
Anyway, they've taken it to a Buick dealer there and were handed a repair estimate totaling over $7k. I know for a fact they are trying to take my parents to the cleaners. So I said get the car the hell out of there I will see if I can get a suggestion from someone I can trust on the forums.

So can someone please refer me to a mechanic you trust as close to Boca Raton as possible. They have AAA, so they can tow if need be.

Thanks for your help!

There's actually a pretty crazy/hilarious turn of events to this story. I ask my dad to email me a list of parts/service that they claim needs to be done and to get me the codes that came up when they scanned the ECU. Then I would take the list to his mechanic here to look at. So I go to his mechanic, but he's not there. I ask when he'll be back. They say not until next week... he's on vacation...in Florida. I burst out laughing. "Where in Florida?"
"Deerfield Beach" they reply. His mechanic, presumably 1500 miles away is, according to Google maps 9 minutes away from where my dad is in Boca.
So I ask if they will call him to meet my dad and he can diagnose it. They hooked up this afternoon. Haven't heard what the issues with the car are yet, but had to share. The story continues...

Heh, my fellow Canucks in FL are probably driving slow because they are all retirees whose only concern is what restaurant to eat at next. But my Dad's Buick Park Ave has a 3.8L Supercharged engine, and he knows how to use it lol.

Oh, and to those who were curious to know what the issue was with the car... it was a case of exposed ignition wires. So any moisture getting in there and the car would start stumbling and shuddering. Thanks Buick of Boca - one less $7,000 customer for you.

Essentially. +$118 diagnostic fee that had nothing to do with the issues the car actually had.
