I got it from a friend, but eBay is about the best price.

One trick, make sure you use a blow dryer or heat gun around any bends.
A little heat, and the stuff is easy to work with, but cold... it's almost imopssible

How did you cut off the ends, Ash? Is it tucked under the cover? So the heat helps make it more elastic to work with?

 

^I just cut it off with a razor blade I had laying around..... one of the few advantages to a coke additiction.

But you'll want to trim it with a razor blade or exacto-knife. I didn't tuck it under the cover, just trimmed exactly flush with the edges of the cover, and yes, heat is an absolute MUST for anything other than a flat part.

 

how straight is it with the edge? I'd imagine you went meth-addict level OCD with it.

 

^Yes I did.... so yeah, it's perfectly straight
I used the seam between the cover and case as a guide, so it wasn't hard to get a straight line.

 

I thought as much. I would probably slice a bit of plastic off the cover! hahahah

damn... i'm tempted to cover my hood with that crap now...

Its been done many times. My friend here in Tampa has a white G37 with the hood, front splitter, roof and rear spoiler all covered in it. I was scepticla at first but I like it just as much as the real thing and it's WAY cheaper.
