Yeah Harvey I saw a thread way back in the day that this guy was doing some crazy conversion and putting the M35/45 front on his coupe... And I think a motor swap too? I think maybe it was before the 08 body style came out even. Huge thread somewhere on Driver.

^That's not entirely true.

The newer ones have a VK45. The old Q has either a VH45 or VH41.

There's a coupe somewhere that has the VK56 and it's SUPERCHARGED

There's a 350 with an ls1 and one with a 2jz

 

^There's plenty of 350z's with LS swaps out there.
There is actually a company that makes a kit to do that. Works on the G coupe and sedan too

 

wouldn't mind doing an LS swap... maybe later in life. Kind of fond of the VQ at the moment.

IDK, I've owned an LS powered vehicle. The boatloads of torque does make it fun, but I kinda like the way the VQ delivers power, and I'm really addicted to the sound.
Don't get me wrong, the LS is a better motor in a lot of ways, I would just rather drive a vehicle that came with an LS (Vette or G8) than go through all the trouble and expense of a swap.
The one exception would be an FD-body RX7. Those are simply amazing with an LS2 or LS3
I don't think there's a better swap out there.
