June 2011 Discussion Thread!
Tellin you man just get it done legal. I speak from experience. Not that any of us EVER do this but all it takes is that one time you had a couple drinks or one of your friends burns one in your car and you get pulled and then you are totally screwed. Not worth it.

LOL yeah he was actually shorter than me which i was loln about but to tell you the truth its not like u cant see thru it not that bad i have a month to think about my mistake
Also, anyone know how the fix-it tickets work (for tint, blue/red lights e.t.c.). I know you can just pay the fine, and technically not "fix it". But can't you "fix it" and take it to court as proof, and does it waiver the ticket?
I don't know what is entailed in becoming a highway patrol... but I had assumed that "ability to see over steering wheel" would be a requirement

How can they measure your tint at night?

Usually doesn't even have to go to court... I got a fix-it ticket for tint, and it was cheaper to have the windows retinted than to pay the dumb ticket, so I peeled the tint off, cleaned the windows, and took it to the local police station, and one of the officers signed off on it. Then I drove over to whichever office it is where you pay the ticket and payer the $10 fee
