So, I'm getting closer to finding a truck but need a few more dollars to fund new purchase ( new truck prices are crazy). I would hate to see my semi aggressive VSXX go to a dealer on trade. New trucks are NOT cheap. The trade in on our cars suck at best. Not to many looking to buy at Christmas time (except me). Every dollar counts when it comes to prices like these.

 

Yeah. Have you looked into selling private party? When you trade in you save $$ on tax difference but you may be able to save more private party. Dealers quote wholesale for trade ins. :-/

 

I Have posted on Craigslist and that's it. I know about the wholesale trade in part, which sucks. I'm to impatient for the private party ( not my idea of a party ). Just easier to go thru dealer sometimes.

 

 

Mike, you should just buy a cheap set of 18's or 19's and trade in with those even if you don't find a buyer yet. In the end you will get more than if you just trade in with them on the car. DO NOT DO THAT!
