I ran a lightweight underdrive pulley for years (when i was NA) without issues, it increased throttle response and midrange TQ (based on butt dyno of course)

Neither lightweight pulleys are underdrive are detrimental to a VQ35, since our pulley, crank and flywheel are individually balanced from the factory (unlike some platforms which balance all together) and since our water pump is driven by the timing chain, a underdrive pulley has no adverse affects on cooling (like in other platforms).

2 years is a decent amount of time. I would just leave my current job under the right conditions (resignation letter and 2 week notice) then take the 2 years at new job. Then you can either try to go back to original job or find a new job if they are done with you in 2 years. Especially if the new job is in a different field because then you have diversity in your skills.
