It looks fine to me on 1280 X 1024. Why did you have to go with frames?

I think the Florida G35 Club logo needs to be a bit bigger too, it doesn't fill up my screen quite yet. J/K :P

BTW, the domain forwarding is now in effect.

horizontally looks good...vertically it is cut off just under the top of the outline of the state of FL. But for smaller monitors, it looks like the horizontal might get chopped also.

Maybe a scroll bar attribute is needed for the frame, such as:

{frame scrolling="auto"} ????

I am viewing with a flat panel 17" LCD.

The hoover effect for the $500 and 10% off is nice. I also like addition of the member counter.

I have a 17"... ummm monitor and had to minimize my "favorites" tool bar just to view most of the page. As far as moving the sponsors logos, you can either leave them to the left or put them on top.

Also, it might be nice to have the words

10% OFF FOR
FGC MEMBERS ONLY

AND

$500 OFF INVOICE
FOR FGC MEMBERS ONLY

waddayathink?

Yes, i noticed...i forgot to call you again (as usual )
we need to talk about forwarding the emails to but no hurry on that

as for "why did i need frames?"
im gonna hopefully gonna have a members list section and gallery and some other sections instead of all one page. I could just have it all reload when u choose a new section but if I can iron out everything i wont...i tryed to lookup using dynamic tables but i couldnt figure out how to do what i wanted...it just allowed expanding the table...not really changing a cell.

BUT if i get ASP support things could change!!!

yes my resolution is 1400x1050 and i knew no one else was that high so i gave extra room. 800x600 will prob have lots of issues and 1024x768 im not sure about. Anyone in that resolution??
As for the sponsor discount switching, its a simple javascript.

thanks...yeah I will probably add autoscroll to the sponsors (maybe shrink them slightly) and move the counter and move or nix the second logo.
AND i can't take credit for the counter...Neff has wanted it since Day 1...i just decided an ODOMETER version would fit nicely.

I can do that...may actually fit better...i'll pay around with it

As for your "favorites" your the only one i know that leaves them open...so adapt j/k Actually i may shrink all the "wide" logos slightly and the Title logo is HUGE but I dont know what i wanna do to take up the extra space when i shrink it.

Definately...
the size is not too big an issue. Smallest i have seen is like 250mb. Pics may takeup a lot but i can get creative and upload them elsewhere.
bandwidth is also not too big a problem. At least a few GB/month should be ok i would think.
Extras is where i'm picky. If at all possible I want ASP support. I have found a pretty good deal via EasyASPHosting.com. If you can beat it...Todd will KISS you

Just a little heads up for some of the people who responded... monitor size doesn't make a difference, it's all about resolution. If someone has a 17" monitor set to 1280x1024 resolution and another guy has a 21" monitor set to the same resolution, it will show the same amount (but the larger screen size will obviously be able to keep things larger).

Definitely shrink things down though Wes... it used to be a good rule of thumb to design for 800x600, but I think 1024x768 should definitely be reasonable by today's standards.

frames = bad idea, alot of browsers have trouble with frames. its easier to use fireworks and slice the site, and on top of that, it will look way cleaner, and be ALOT easier to manage. just my opinion...

I LOVE THE MEMBER COUNTER!!! WOO HOO!!!

Also, how do I change my resolution from what it presently is?

I'm going to need some help from a computer savy person in the next few days. My hard drive is slowly crashing and in another week or 2 I'll be getting a new computer (just have to do my taxes first). I need help in choosing the correct system and also backing up all of my data from MS Outlook and MS Money. Anyone want to offer assistance or does anyone have a portable zip drive they could loan me to do some of the back up (MS Money only uses a floppy or a zip drive for data back up, you can't use a CD. )

TIA

If you have XP on your desktop right click. go to properties then settings. you'll see screen resolution, adjust it accordingly.

Increasing the numbers of the resolution (going from 800x600 to say 1280x1024) makes things appear smaller but you can fit more on the screen. Those numbers correspond to the number of pixels which are found horizontally and vertically (respectively) on the monitor. So making the above mentioned change would essentially add 480 pixels to the width and 424 pixels to the height of the viewable picture.

Not sure why your "image moves to the top left of the computer" because I'm not quite sure exactly what you are referring to. It will shift things around on the screen to put them in the respective places in accordance with the new WxH if that's what you meant?

yeah u can set ur background to "center" ORR to "stretch" (but that will low the quality)

We'll talk later about ur new purchase and about backing everything up...im pretty sure it can all be done on a CD with a little smack on the side of the monitor
