Here's something interesting I found out today.

I've been a F&B manager for the last few years, and I report directly to my department head. For the year 2010, I had just started my first true manager gig at a restaurant. That particular department head got manager of the year for the resort (among probably 20-30 managers).

I changed restaurants in 2011, and for the year 2012, I just found out that now this department head won manager of the year. Same resort.

Not bad considering I had to have contributed a little bit to their successes, right?
