Plastidip my friends car for $?

So my old college roommate who lives in Miami wants to plastidip his old civic grocery getter that has skin cancer. I live pretty far away from him so the most amount of help I can provide is guidance. He isn't really interested in doing it himself soOoOoOo I was just wondering if anyone knew of anyone that will do his car.

I did some searching online and some of the shops seemed to be overpriced IMO.(I know some people that do cars for $250 but they are 8hrs away from him) Craigslist seemed like a bust. If anyone can help me help my friend i'd greatly appreciate it. He is looking to spend in the $350 range.

Its his car not mine so don't make fun of me lol. Just trying to help a friend.

Tell him to do it himself it couldn't be any easier and should only cost like $60 for materials

Yeah... I told him he should look into doing it himself but he doesn't have a paint gun or a good place to do it. I might make a trip down there to visit family and I can probably do it for him but that wouldn't be for a few months. He just found out about plasti dipping and he's very anxious to add the ultimate eye sore to his ricebowl. I'll try to convince him to just buy a paint gun, might have some use for protection when offroading in his brand new jeep. But if anyone knows of anyone anyways let me know. Thanks

I think doing an entire car with spray cans could potentially be a horrible idea. But then again, can't look much worse than it already does. Ha!

I haven't done a whole car but I did all the plastic trim on my xterra (which is 1/3 of the car) with spray cans it turned out perfect and only took 3 cans. He could do his whole car with less than 10 cans at $7 a can that's about $60

Your friend could save some serious cash by trying it himself. There should be plenty of tutorials online too, whether it be an internet forum or on YouTube.

if hes willing to spend $350 why doesnt he drive up for a tank of gas and tolls which in a civic will be around $60 and go to one of the places you know that will do it for $250 and just drive back down and he would be spending nearly the $350 he was looking to spend. Problem solved.

Showed him the thread and DIY seems to be the general consensus. He convinced his cousin to buy the dip kit so they can play around with it on their cars. He then realized he can apply/remove on his new jeep when he goes trailing/off road. Thanks again.

Maybe i'll have him do my entire car!... Never.
