Custom Subwoofer Box *Pics*

Hey guys I just wanted to post these pics of the subwoofer box that I built for my car. After going to Sound Advice to see how much it would cost they told me $750-$1,000, I realized that me and my friend can build on ourselves (he works at a custom audio store). It is solid fiberglass with a 3/4" MDF mounting ring for a 10 inch sub. The carpet on the box now was put to match the the carpeted trunk mat but can be done with the darker carpet as well. I will be putting a JL Audio 10W6v2 pushed by a JL 500/1 amp. I posted these pics to be if anyone we be interested in purchasing one of these boxes. They could be made for either side of the trunk (mine is for the driver side) and would cost $200. Let me know if anyone would be interested in these boxes as well as the equipment to go in them. I most likely can get a very good price through my friend. Just PM me with any interests.

Yeh that was just for the boxes and tire cover. Everything else is +++. Its fiberglassed, they had to mold it in my car left it Monday at 10am had it back Tuesday a little after 3. They can make whatever size you want. I had the 12's from my previous car, 3 of them actually so I went with 12's. Im going to be putting a 10" W7 in the middle in the next few months, got some more important things to do to her before I add more bass. If your gunna get 10's, get W7's!! This was done in Boca Raton, at the Yamato Road store. Every Sound Advice is different they have different prices. I got lucky and got it done for that price, every other place in the area wanted anywhere from $1200-2100 to do it. Two kids even walked in when mine was about done and they quoted them $600 two days after I was quoted $450. Why, I don't know.

Hey this is for sedan owners here in south Florida. I am looking for a sedan to use to build a mold for a sub enclosure on each side of the trunk. It will take no more than a couple hours and I will build you a box for only the cost of the material. If anybody is interested just PM me and we can work it out.

Austin, how do you remove the spare? Do you have to remove BOTH speakers first?

NO! You just lift the center piece and pull the spare out. Only problem is I had to deflate the tire to get it out and always bring an air compressor with me when I go on long trips. Now that I bought new rims, Im going to take out the spare tire, and just put a full size in my backseat.
