Well I think I am 99% sure I am going to keep the 19's after having it for a few hours I feel lilke the 20's would look a little too much. So the week old 20 inch rims and nittos will be going up for sale shortly unless I have a change of mind

Yes, it's true and I admit that I'm trying to get $2000 for the 19's to offset the cost I'd pay for a new set =) There's nothing wrong with that. Honestly, I can't stand the stock 19's and I don't know why so many people love them so much. I've already had many compliments on the 19's but I guess it's not my type.

With a $1200 offer for the set, I'm better off keeping them for the tires alone (about 250 each) and use the rims as night stands. That would actually look pretty sweet.

Here are 2 recent ebay auctions that closed:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=43959 (2250 with 17 bids)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=66485 (2000 with buy it now)

Looks like the demand is still there.

Be real. Just price out a new set of tires and go from there.

Or pay the price for what you want. What is it you want?
Neffster This is the first time I think you are wronge. I quess you are just looking out for you friends. So many smart people here and quess what the brains are only shared with a few. This is what is funny you people asked me if they were for sale. Rule #1 do not sell to friends. What a joke. Free is the other 4 letter word. My wheels are not for sale now and I was trying to be fair. Fair is just another word for free. Buy some volks and be happy.
First of all, DID I EVEN ASK YOU TO SELL IT TO ME? NO!!! so dont come into here and giving me a lecture. Get your facts straight. You can sell it what you want. I simply made a statement of opinion so if you dont like it, tough luck.

Oh course there is nothing wrong with trying to offset the cost of your new wheels. I would do the samething too.

Neffster is right. The first time I saw the 19" on eBay, they sold for ~$1300 or so which was back when the '05 first came out. Guess not too many people were aware at that point, hence the low price. Here's another recent thread...
https://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44508

It's all demand and supply, fair is not what something really is worth. If someone wants the 19" NOW and can't find them CHEAPER, then $2500 is fair...

Since the last 2 auctions I found on ebay had the rims sell for 2000+, it seems there's still demand. Nonetheless, there will be a lot of G owners that are willing to sell it for 1500 or cheaper (those that can afford to sell it that cheap). So Finiti35 is right in the fact that fair does not equate to worth, but in my opinion, 1200 is neither fair nor the worth of the set (especially considering the cost of tires).

Sell 'em for as much as you can get for them, however there are already 3 people in this thread alone looking to dump their 19" wheels.

Just something to consider.
I will bet $100 CASH to any one person willing to back up their "jabber" that I will be able to point them to MORE THAN ONE SALE of stock wheels and brand new tires for $1200 or less by the end of this summer.

ANY TAKERS?

I agree with you. But this is now. I do not need the money so just keeping them is what IM going to do. $1200.00 would be a good deal.

Oh, I'm sure there will be sellers willing to sell these for 1200 simply because they need cash, they can afford it, or they don't care as much. There will always be "deals". That's why ebay is so great. Nobody's doubting that they *could* sell for 1200. I'm just saying that I don't think it's a fair price, especially when they're currently selling for much more at the moment.

My friend just bought a mint condition s2000 with vortech supercharger for about 18k. That's a pretty good deal. He was willing to sell it so cheap cause he was a rich bastard with a lotus in his garage too.

Getting too far off topic. For sale items belong in the classified section. Thanks for the reminder Austin.
