Well, I would be up for Tuesday the 9th of August or any time after the 18th of August. Hopefully my trunk will be done by then :-)

I don't know the game schedule - I haven't been selling tickets and I'm avoiding it for one more year until the boards are done. :-/

once again, anyone want to do it on a game weekend? sept 3 and 10 are both home games against smaller teams, so traffic wont be as bad. parties are great on those weekend too, for anyone looking for more to do

Technically NFL should be having a group meet AT LEAST once a month. This leaves Sept. 10th a perfect time for a 2nd meet. I say we stick to the current August 20th plan and go for a mid afternoon meet. This will allow everyone enough time to wake up, wash their cars, show up and then get a bite to eat for an early dinner and possibly even a group drive from the initial meeting location to a near by restaurant. Saturday restaurant crowds can get kind of large so eating around 5-ish might not be a bad idea.

So the time is 3:30pm on Saturday, August 20th. Jamacia, why don't you pick a central location for the meet and start a new thread.

I know that a ton of my friends are moving back into their places this week at UF and it is going to be hectic with all the frosh coming in and everyone coming back. I don't know if doing this during move-in, rush and all that is the best plan; especially for out of towners who may not know the area and could easily get lost.

Just my $0.02. And NFL is supposed to have monthly meets? Ha. We haven't had "a" meet in about a year.

and if people like you keep ragging on EVERY FLIPPIN' DATE that is chosen then I guess you'll never have a meet, will you?

Problem is CFL and SFL are centered around bigger cities (South Florida in general and Orlando/Tampa) with a good "G" population.

NFL is roughly 100,000,000 square miles of trees with cities spread far about and few "G" hot spots. Pensacola....go east two hours....Tallahassee....go east two hours....Jacksonville/Daytona/St. Augustine area....go southwest two hours Gainesville/Ocala....and thats it. It's tough to set up monthly meets for NFL as a whole. People could go to a Jacksonville meet or Gainesville meet...but a monthly NFL meet is, logistically, an uphill battle. (Example...it's easier for me to go to Orlando (1 hour) to a CFL meet than it would be to go to Jacksonville (1.75 hours) meet). I think you will have a hard time getting anyone from Tallahassee and west therefrom to go to any meet in Gainesville/Jacksonville and vice versa. I am not complaining as its part of the logistics of NFL, but monthly meets just won't happen outside a few clicks here and there.....just my $.02.....

With that said....I am all for a Gainesville meet and agree it should be an off weekend (even though I will be in Gainesville for every game).

i have stopped trying to set up dates for Jax meets, as it is very difficult to get a date that a majority of the owners can attend.....and without a good date, the attendance will just be dismal. Additionally, for various reasons, it seems like we are running out of decent locations that have sufficient parking in a central Jax area. I am open to specific suggestions about the next jax meet, if anyone has some.

We will try to make it down for a Gainesville meet, but without a date determined, i can't say for sure.
