I'd be interested in getting this done. How much does it cost and how dark do you tint the windows? Also, how long will it take for you to do it? Where would you be in the Tampa area b/c I am right across the bay in St. Pete

It will cost $129 for non-members and $100 for members. It will take about 1.5 hours and as long as youhave a garage I will come to you and install it. If you dont have a garage I will have to set up a place probably in Largo, I have a spot I can use.

How dark do you tint the windows? Also, do you do other cars, such as a 2005 Acura TL and what would be the price for that?

I do have a garage that you can use by the way.

The TL will run $129 depending on the film. I can tint your vehicles any shade you want. If you want to check out the tint samples just go to my website by clicking on my sig or go to www.Creativecarz.com.

Oh man, decisions decisions.... I REALLY NEED to get tint on my G and will talk to my dad about getting it done for his car to. We'll work out a date that works sometime later this week.

Out of curiosity, what do most G owners get on their cars? Speak up guys...

You don't wanna know what Finiti has, right Dexter

If Dexter carried it, I would have gotten the 5% Llumar stealth.. you will never know it's that dark since it's so reflective at the same time (cops won't know either). Number 2 choice, 5% charcoal, that's what I would have had installed if I had any other color G but mine..

Is your G silver or Diamond Graphite (darker silver)? I can upload a bunch of pics with different tint so that you can get an idea about how it looks.

I have a Silver G, and the pics would really help a lot!! What color car do you have? I think darker tint would look really good on the silver car. Everytime I look out in my driveway, the car just seems like it needs it BADLY.

My advice is, get whatever you like the best, otherwise later on you'll regret it. I've heard comments like "I wish I had gotten lighter tint, now my car looks like a ghetto cruiser" and "If I were to do it all again, I'd go pitch black". I myself love everything under 15%. Dexter does 5% and 15%, so I guess these 2 will be your main choices. If you need more pics, let me know, these are just a few to give you an idea of how different tint looks on silver.

G Spot (or G stop as others would say ), to save yourself some money you might want to consider the laws in Florida. I got busted for having 15% on the front windows about 18 months ago. I had to strip off the tint, take the car to the police station and prove that the tint was removed. Otherwise I'd would have had to paid a fine (~$50-$75) and there would be a 'notation' in the police computer and every time I got pulled over or had my tag run they would have re-ticketed me. I didn't want the hassle so I peeled the tint off of the car and checked this website click here for the Florida Legal Limits.

Also, if you decide to join the FGC... welcome aboard in advance.

BTW, I'm running Llumar 30% smoked tint all around and it isn't that bad...

Or you can be like Dan and get a doctor's permission first It all depends on how strict your local cops are, I know in SFL every other car has illegal tint but cops don't care much unless you give them another reason to pull you over. I don't know how it is up by you though. If you have tan interior, 30% or 20% will do a great job at keeping the heat out, but good luck if you have black. Either way you have to compromise something.

Thanks for the help guys. Finiti-what percent tint is on those cars in the pics you uploaded? I really don't think the cops in my area would care.... but 5% seems REALLY dark, esp if it's limo tint. I have black interior and the car gets REALLY hot.... so maybe it'll help at least a little.

If I knew, I'd tell ya To me it looks like the first 2 are 5%, 3rd about 30% (I think that's titanium tint), 4th and 5th about 15-20%. Look at what % has the highest heat rejection.. to my surprise 18% stealth is almost the same as 5% charcoal. So even lighter tint may reject as much heat as much darker films.
