If you're going to stay in ft. laud. head towards the beach.

Ft. Laud Beach hotels

Check out this list.

try and stay near Las Olas or Beach Place off of A1A.

Remember to use your AARP, Travel Agent, AAA discounts.

And you can always try becoming buddies and slip a ten to the clerk when you get there for a better rate.

It's summer so they aren't extremely busy.

OK, I've booked 2 suites at the Vacation Villas (Time share). Daniel and Amanda will be staying in suite B and Debbie and I will be in suite A of a shared unit. We'll be heading down together on Friday afternoon, maybe even with the other caravan... Just have to work out the details of dropping off the kids, Debbie getting out of work early, packing, etc...

I sure am glad Raul and Finiti are handling the food.

Neff have everything ready so when Debbie gets home you can drop the kids off and head out with the group.

That's the plan... Daniel and Amanda will be joining us for the drive over so I'll have to work out the details with Dan. I'll let you know what we'll be doin' but the idea of a group drive is appealing.

I have the details at home but the A-room was $135/night + 11% tax and I think the B-room was $105/night + 11% tax (might have been $115/night).

They have a 'deal' for $180 + 11% tax that you can get an A and B suite combo. That's what Dan and I got and it works out to be $200/night but you get 2 suites.

FYI, Omi might be looking for a roommate... I thought you were staying with a friend's parents (or something like that)?

You can just rent suite A or suite B for the individual prices I posted above. The savings is like $30 per room if you rent the combo...

Hey dabomb or Omi, I'm now considering staying overnite in Miami on Saturday. Looks like the "Vacation Village" is the winner spot for now, if either of you (or anyone else) wants to split the A & B suite and save some $ let know soon.

That sounds cool Mike, as soon as I finalize a place to stay Saturday night I'll give you a call. I can understand about the prices staying the night in Miami twice, it all adds up quickly (and takes away from your mod. money ). If you decide to leave early Saturday, give John @ Lokey a call or myself. I think aznlunder is leaving Saturday morning also with us - we'll have an contest to see who's bumper can collect the most road bugs before the meeting .
