Yeah...and what is worse to think about...out of the 30 or so Gs that were there, I can think of at least 10 Gs that were from the CFL area and drove all the way to Miami. But the some of the SFL people overslept or didn't like the weather .

I made the commitment to going, and even would of been there earlier if I hadn't gotten this damn ticket! I do think the SFL people came weak on this meet... Sucks

What they said, I'd hate to repeat what's the sad truth. I'd like to thank everyone who drove down from Tampa, Orlando, Melbourne, etc. for the meet, you guys rock!!! And a special thanks to all the CFL guys who helped me set up this meet since the other 2 SFL directors probably didn't even know it was happening...

For those who overslept, were too busy, or impeded by the nonexistant rain, you missed a chance to ride in a Vortech supercharged G (which kicked @$$), and never got to see one of the hottest Gs I've ever seen, custom M-B color paint job, full Kenstyle body kit and Lowenharts; you also didn't get a little gift John Oliva had for everyone at the meet (thank you John!) among many other things...

Point is well taken. As soon as Neff lets me know what the per person cost of the food was, I will pay-pal him my portion so the club does not have to absorb it. I encourage anyone else that confirmed and did not show to do the same.

There's a classy move.

I am not a Club Member, but as the major sponsor I thought the least I could do was make the 4 hour drive on my own personal time to support the SFL event. After all, many people drove just as far to come to our dealership this past March.

I had a great time, but to hear that some people didn't make the effort is a little disappointing. There was a TON of food left over, and Tony's offer above in my opinion is the "right" thing to do.

John, I appreciate you making the drive down, and the mousepad is doing nicely on my desk, Thanks!

You're not the only one. We had 5-8 more people show up after 3pm. Most of them only read the forum (it's sad when the 'lurkers' are more hardcore than the posters...) but it was really cool meeting them! My guess was we had 40+ G's there in total throughout the day, with 31 G's in attendance at one time.

Also it was neat to meet Merlin and his family and hear about his 'quest' for his SRT-4 project. That's one I'd like to follow closely. It was also nice to meet those of you who made it out to your first All Florida Meet and VERY COOL to see how many CFL guys made the trek down to SFL.

Thanks to everyone who helped out and came out to support the club.

My only comment is im very disappointed in SFL.

Over half the people at the meet were from CFL and for "SOME" of the SFL people to show this little support and will power to wakeup and drive for THIRTY MINUTES to make an appearance at the meet is just WEAK!

I personally never want to hear a word from any one of those people about having to make a 3 or 4 hr drive to a CFL\NFL meet. I honestly dont even know if I will even make an effort to goto a SFL meet next year (if there is even one).

THANKS AGAIN TO THOSE WHO DID COME. Unfortunately we never got any activites going but, we as the BOD learned to plan the iteneray a little better to help spark some fun stuff.

I am sorry to hear that there was lacking in attedence. I can understand why peeps would be gun shy about heading south again given the lackluster showing and what I see as just LAME excuses. Oh well. So where's the next one

I just had to post in the one so whomever reads the Florida forum next, sees my name as the most recent poster for the past 6 threads.

Yeah, I'm a little disappointed that I spent about $800 of my personal money on this weekend for a meet that was as "uneventful" and as "unattended" as this one was. Resort was nice, new people were really cool, but all in all... not what I expected. I'll have a head count of "members" and their home chapters in the days to come for those who were/are interested.

42 G's originally signed up for this meet so, I would not be too disappointed at all with the turnout if you had 40+ G's actually show up. There is nothing wrong with that ratio even if some just came off of the street and did not sign up.

Neff, also let me know what the PP cost for the lunch was so I can Paypal you mine since I was a no show.

yes maybe no one ate what a normal person should...or maybe they gave us way more food than we were expecting.

im not as upset about the food as others because we still made almost $250 at the meet and only spent about $800.

I am upset that we only got about 30 MEMBERS to showup out of 114.
THATS NOT A GOOD RATIO.

but hey, there is always next meet and i place the blame of boredom on the BOD's shoulders...and maybe the lack of a "plan" caused people not to come. We'll do better next time!!!
