How can you even make that comparison? An M3 will cost you $50-$55k grand easily and if you FI that thing add another $10-$15, then add rims, etc., yada yada yada.

Isn't it possible that APS and the VQ could prove to be a less than ideal match?
I agree with you neff, but if you go on APS' TT track record of only 1 blown motor (and that was due to improper install and overheating) in almost 1 year then I'd bet the house on it that the ST will be even safer. I know of 3 blown motor with the vortech.

exaclty, IMO the G looks way better anyways. dont get me wrong the M3 is hot, but it has nothing on a G. I'll take a vortech G over a M3 any day.

+1, if I am going to pay $55K grand for a sports car, I'd better drive off the dealer with more than 333hp (at the crank).

yup they're too expensive. i paid just under $35k for mine, and if i had an extra $20k, i'll rather put it into the G, and have a sick ride. instead of having just another M3. And living in SFL M3s are just as common as civics and altima 2.5's.

Didn't you guys read that we're talking about a CPO M3 vs new G35? In which case the G35 from the day you buy it till the day you sell it will run you a helluva lot more expensive.

I don't follow M3's. What's a CPO? It sounds even more expensive than a regular one. I'll take a guess......50hp more and a few other upgrades for another $10K, if so I'll really pass on it.

Edit: Never mind. I just looked it up and it is a older version M3. Sorry I don't buy used cars, I trade them in.

Certified Pre-owned. I was looking at a black 03 with 30k miles for 39 grand, 100k mile warranty plus option to extend the maintenance plan. I'm sure I could have gotten a couple of grand off sticker. And don't let the 333hp fool you, bone stock it IS as fast as a Vortech SCed G. If I were to buy new, I'd never buy an M3, I'd get a C6 or something. The problem with buying an expensive new car is that is depreciates a cr*pload in the first year or two, which makes it a worse investment than going F/I with the G. Reason why I wouldn't buy a $60k car new.

Booger and who else? Plus that's 3 kits out of how many? 1000? Also, can you elaborate as to why the engines blew?

One guy's s/c name is duffaluci or something like that. He posted about 2-3 months ago on 350zmotoring. He had some detonation but I don't know why. The other guy's name was Andrew (I think) and he was the first blown vortech more than a year ago. Sharif knows who he is. Maybe pm him for more details on how it blew.

Don't quote me, but I believe the APS TT has sold 200 plus kits. Thus far only 1 blown motor due to a bad install. Also alot of the APS TT guys are running like 420whp with test pipes and exhaust. Most vortech guys are running 360-400whp. So not counting the 1 blown due to overheating, APS is putting down more hp than the vortech and still has a perfect record.

Randy ran a 13.2 and a 13.4 AFAIK, G352NV ran a 13.6 when he first got his Vortech, I think there was a sedan that ran a 12.8. Well if we're comparing fastest to fastest times, the best bone stock M3 e/t I've heard of is 12.9. Not too shabby for a 280rwhp engine. And how are M3's more common that x, y, and z, are you confusing them with other 3 series? They only sell 8000 a year in the US compared to ~30,000 G35 coupes.

You are all witnessing Finiti's slow morphism into a G-hater. This has been happening slowly over the last few weeks. I'm not sure what's happening but she's been ragging on the G and praising the M3 and the Z06's in many different threads.

I think she needs to spend more time in CFL so we can "re-brain wash" her.
