I'm in for a zaino group buy

A GB for the Passport radar detector may be difficult or impossible. No one sells them below MSRP that I know of. Places that have free shipping don't even offer that on these units.

The BEL RX65 has been rated as good as the Passport since BEL bought Escort, so they may even have similar internals. However, buying the RX65 through BEL makes you eligible to receive an $85 dollar trade in allowance if you trade in an old detector.

Colormatchantenna.com has a good price on their painted SIRIUS mini antenna and splitter combo. Their price for the painted antenna is the same as what everyone else seems to be charging for plain black. I wish I hadn't already bought mine, but I do need another.

I would be interested in a group buy regarding the JDM battery cover for our car. I've always wanted one of these. I've always put this on the back burner because I was only interested in getting the "go go juice" products first...

Please list the sites that do the "modification" to the battery cover so that we can simply screw the cover on. I'll call those places and try to work something out soon.

I've heard that Grubbs Infiniti does this modification but I'm not sure they do a really good job...

I think the Grubbs and StrictlyZ covers are the only ones that don't need to be modified.

I have the Sirius SIGMA interior glass-mount antenna- reception is great and there is no antenna stuck on the exterior of the car.

I got the JDM battery cover for the coupe from Grubbs. They did a pretty nice job cutting it. I cleaned up some of the edged with a file and used the dremel to exact fit it to the car. It took 5 minutes to fit perfectly. Better to have to cut a little more off than to have it come with too much cut off already.

i have the one from Grubbs also, it didnt need to be modified but you do have to drill two holes in the engine bay, which i didnt do

One thing that I would love a GB on is an aftermarket alarm. Our stock alarms are terrible and I am putting serious cash into my car. I would love a GB/install on a good aftermarket alarm with remote start (so my vortech can warm up earlier)

I just got off of the phone with Gary at Grubbs and he is going to speak with his parts manager to see if we can get a group buy going on the JDM battery covers.

If they turn us down I don't know who else to call since StrictlyZ is now out of business.
