Took my G in today...it needs a NEW THROTTLE BODY...and im curious if...
thats pretty said if you wait two hours for an oil change. A buddy of mine works at courtesy GMC and gets me in and out in less than 30min. I buy my own oil and oil filter and they change it for me for 6 bucks.

FWIW
Don't ever unplug the TB (eg if doing a plenum mod)
It will have to be reprogrammed with consII
i had the same problem 2ice. they'll tell you it's that they replaced throttle body. sounded pretty heavy. after some questions, i found out it's a sensor in the throttle body that failed. i'm not sure what that sensor is for. but somehow mine broke 2ice within 3 months. and they don'tknow why. anyone knows?
I posted about this on another thread this morning, it has happened to several people and the guy at the dealership said it was a re occuring problem. Mine is an 04 but he said it has been an issue with 03-05. I have had it happen to me prob 5-6 times so far. There is supposedto be a TSB either coming out or already out on the problem. Some thought it might be heat related but it was only 82 yesterday when mine did it.I'm going in on Monday to have it replaced, I just hope they don't try to blame it on my Crawford plenum, the service guy said it "should'nt" be a problem but for 700+ in parts should'nt be a problem didn't make me feel very good. Anybody else had a problem with a dealer on this after the plenum mod?

I unplugged mine once, months agon...and everything seems fine. What are some things to look for to know if it needs reprogramming?
A follow up on my latest TB service. The tech who helped me was quite friendly during the test drive when I dropped my G. So I asked him when I was picking it up after they replace the TB why it happened twice. He said he's not sure but he think this time it should be better because Infiniti just came out with a superior replacement part for TB and he think it'll be fixed. So let's see. So far I haven't had the kind of problems I had b4. changing gears feels more smooth and car doesn't "jump" anymore from start. These used to happend occationally but it's a bitch when it did. Is the TB change supposed to do all that or it's just me ...
Man... Today my SES light kicked on. It first happened during start up this morning. The G fired up and then out of a sudden it stalled
. So, I restarted the engine and now the pesky SES light is on. Minutes latter, I crack out the Tech2 Diagnostic reader to find that the engine is throwing the TPSM code and pedal sensor
. I read in the first thread that this has been an reoccurring issue. Has anybody else had the same issue with their '05's???
Also, with the warranty worked completed, has the issue come back?
Actually my TPSM problem never came back again after the 2nd replacement. When I had that one replaced about 3~4 months ago, the tech said they were aware of the old part having some problem and said the new one they are putting in is different and shouldn't have that problem anymore. so far so good.
