I tryed to install my lowering springs....
Well, after waiting 2 months to have some help to install my lowering springs, I decided to go at it with a friend. Here is the start of my horror story.
We started around 11am. I went to Discount Auto and spent about $100 on spring compressors, a floor jack, and miscellaneous ratchets and sockets. We try to take off the lugs off one wheel and realize they are not budging. They did not budge for any wheel. So we drove to Tires Plus to have them use an air gun to loosen the lugs. In the process, the scratched the inside of the lug nut holes. So we go back to the apartment and take off the front left wheel. We took off the 2 bolts as pictured below.

Next thing to do was remove the bolt attaching the brake line to the shock.

Well, that bolt did not want to cooperate. We ended up somewhat stripping the bolt. So we made another drive to Discount Auto to get a 1/2 wrench. Well, that was too big. So I finally gave up and decided to put the wheel back on. More trouble...we could not get the wholes to line up from the bottom shock bolt and the arm holding the brake caliper. After 2 hours of trying every way possible, we finally got the wholes to line up and the bolt slipped right in. Then I called Ian and we went to Lazy Moon.
Summary: Ryan is not very good with tools. He could not install his springs and now has an appointment at RacingZone at 10:30am tomorrow.

...lolz, that sucks man, are those the stock parts? My parents have an air compressor and all the tools at their house since my pop's an auto mechanic, if you're willing to make the drive to longwood, we could take another try at it....

1- this is a japanese car, built in japan....their nuts and bolts are all measured in metric (that brake line nut is 12 mm)
2- if there is an autozone, you can rent a spring compressor for free
3- why not use the DIY posted in https://g35driver.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11639
4- a breaker bar is always helpful when loosening lug nuts. breaker bar is a long length of piping used to give you more leverage. the jack handle would have been a good breaker. slide it over your ratchet and you're good to go
the fronts are a bit more difficult to install then the rears, but it's doable.
good luck getting everything installed

Ryan, I was thinking about doing my springs myself as well but, after reading your story I might just save the headache and have Lokey install them. So, what's the final result, did RacingZone get them on?
i hate to laugh.. but hahahaha. that sucks! it honestly reminds me of when i tried to do my first spring install on my maxima, i forgot to tighten the lug nuts down altogether and that led to quite a surprising drive.
good luck at racing zone..
