Sweetness. I wish I had a BBK. Any idea how much heavier they are than the stock Brembo ones?

no kit.. completely custom. so far this is a one off unit, will fit under stock brembos and will be for front and rears at a whopping size of 15.2" (385 mm).

i am getting weight differences as soon as possible.. if it's a huge difference i am definitely glad i slapped the sc'er on there!

those are sick! why arent you replacing the calipers, some 6 piston caliper would look great w/ those 15in rotors

Wholey crap, Jason! You weren't kidding by saying your new rotors would be huge! Those things are ridiculous...in a good way. Now where are those DPEs?

I didn't just get a brake upgrade kit because anyone can buy one.. Besides, brembo doesn't makes a 385mm kit all the way around for this car, they might offer the front, but the largest they would go in the rear would be 13.3 or 14.4 (to my knowledge). Oh, and the price tag for that is around $6000.00.

I actually learned something yesterday that kind of stinks and that is the fact that I won't have the caliper grab on the entire rotor, in fact almost .75" will never get touched. It seems making custom rotors hats (what makes a rotor a two piece rotor), is quite an ordeal and would take a ton of man hours. As is it is, these hats are almost 10" in diameter.. 10", that is the size of most peoples rotors! haha.

It is all going to be trial and error. I already told my guy that I wasn't 100% happy with the drilling/slotting pattern, but I wanted to get the kit and make sure it all fit right and looked good behind the wheel. Maybe phase 2 will be to get the more aggressive slotting and drilling pattern I want and get some custom hats made that actually make it look like these rotors were meant to be used with these calipers.

Who knows where the DPE's are, I want to order some 22's for my X5, but they haven't finished these yet and I want to make sure they move quickly on my next set.

I'll bet they look great once they are on the car with your new wheels!

I think it might look better with a smaller hub and the larger rotor.

It looks like the holes and slots are only machined in the contact area of the rotor. Once you hit the brakes a few times and score the rotors, I think it will make a bit difference. The contact area will be very shiny over the holes and slots and look fabulous against the non-used area...

Just my 2¢ worth...
