Lightbulb I want a Greddy....

I just had to say Gman's car's off the hook. Pulled like crazy even with street tires, and he wasn't even going to redline. I want to see that thing on slicks After riding in two greddy TT's with built motor's, and seeing how APS tuning is a hassle, and sitting in a vortech 350z. I have to say Greddy is no longer on my out list. I mean besides new fuel management, maybe new wastegates, what else should I be looking for if I wanted a Greddy? I think I have to whip out the mastercard to just send that shortblock I'm getting now to SGP. Its just like *drools* lol.... I just want to know, where I should be upgrading (not talking about the block, I think SGP's got most of that covered) if I wanted to get a Greddy, there's specials all over the place . Gmann or Djniknala want to chime in guys. Your cars are off the wall.

Better have a high credit card limit. For removal of the engine, shipping both ways, engine tear down and rebuild, reinstall, TT install, 'parts' (being very vague here) you're probably looking at a $30,000 price tag.

You gotta pay to play to hang with the boys of the rebuilt engine club.

I know someone with a Greddy TT NIB that he is looking to get rid of. He used to own his own shop until a family matter got in the way. He still has the turbo with intercooler that he is willing to sell very inexpensively!

Shoot me a PM if you want more info!

BTW - this is the reason I don't wanna go for a ride in a FI car. I know once I do, it's all over! lol

You don't need new wastegates with the Greddy. The wastegates you get should be good up to about 750whp. After that you need 45mm wastegates. Beside fuel management and the built motor you need a new radiator, gauges, big exhaust(3"+ duals) and time, money and patience, lol.

^^^Then you are missing the point. Sporty luxury car, goes fast, looks good, has a good stereo that does everything well. I don't think there are many cars that can do all this and have a V8 and paxton that you speak of.

Well, I won't be going to 750hp at least not until I graduate and start making the big $$ .. lol. I've got from now till December to build and drop my motor in, then a TT I can install myself and drive to wherever and get it tuned a little later on down the road. I've got the term off from school, so I want to get this done now. I've got enough $$ saved up just to slap on a TT, but I'd rather get a built motor as my first step. I'm not 100% sure I'm just gonna send my shortblock to SGP, but I'm still putting pricing together for everything right now. I'll be pulling and dropping the motor at home, so I think the only labor involved in everything I'm gonna do is building the motor. I just kinda want them to build it because of how highly regarded they are and so far it seems their pricing scale is a pretty decent deal, but shipping screws that up a bit. I might just end up getting all the parts and having it locally done. Well my options are still pretty wide open, for the time being.

I think my exhaust is good enough for the hp I want to push, plus supposedly with a more restrictive exhaust I'd have a good lower end, but who knows, we'll see when everything goes in.

I have however started to buy some parts, I've got an Apex AVCR on my desk right now, Apex AFC, my exhaust is sitting outside, I'm too lazy today to put it on today. I've got orders on Tomei Cams, Walbro fuel pump, and an APS Tallboy on back order(I might just change my mind and get that SSV just for looks, or find a used crawford, well I've got plenty of time to decide ) More to come...

Is the emanage unit good enough? or should I go with something else? What is a good radiator to get? how do fuel rails work? And which one should I get? la li la... I think I've got a 1000 questions lol.

New wastegates are not needed, but SGP is coming out with some new ones that dump into the atomsphere that add 30-40whp. I am probably going to get them. Not a bad way to get some extra ponies with out turning up the boost.

1. Emanage is good enough, but I would sell the blue that comes with the kit, and buy the Emanage Ultimate.
2. If you are going to get the kit installed on the stock block, I would go with the TS flash for the greddy tt kit. I have never heard any greddy owners with this solution for engine management damage anything.
3. I don't know how the fuel rails work, but they are needed for high boost applications.
4. AAM or CJM fuel return solution are great and come with everything you need.
