to paint or not to paint

well the title says it all

should i paint the calipers that i recieved from gee pasta today or not?
if so what color?

im not a big red fan.
i do like blue, hence why i have blue samco hoses and blue ground wires. but those are all under the hood and dont really get seen. plus i dont know how good blue would look on the caliper but if someone has a pic of blue calipers please post it.
black could look nice and would be suttle.

someone help

also jason and neff you guys have to come to my place next weekend to help put them on.

Look no further. How about you post pics of those calipers? Is it a BBK? If the size allows, go for it. What kind of blue do you want? I initially wanted to powdercoat my stock calipers athens blue, but decided against it because they're too tiny. Everyone goes red, BBK or not. Do something different. I wish I had yellow Stoptechs and some gunmetal wheels.

Dan, I don't know if I'll be able to make it or not.

1. I have not ever replaced calipers and rotors before and wouldn't know what to do after getting the car up in the air and taking the tire off.

2. The last 2 weekends I've had tire / battery / and mow more tire problems with my car and Deb's truck. I need to spend a w/e with the family and not with the cars.

I suggest you get Omi or someone else in SFL to help you. Omi replaced his brembo pads and might know how to do your swap too.

Also, the calipers are much easier to paint off of the vehicle. You would only want to use a G2 paint kit so if you can find one locally you'd be set. Otherwise paint can only be sent 5 day ground so if you order it today you'd be lucky to get it within a week. Do a search for G2 Caliper Paint.

I think a nice clear coated looking black would be best since its not a BBK or something. It would be classy and subtle without looking too flashy or gawdy for a stock setup. Or even if you could attempt to do a color match that might be good too, but my vote is black.
