Question Did anyone else do "Taste of Lexus" yesterday?

For those in south florida, here's my review of yesterday's event at Calder.

Just curious if anyone else went. I know some went to the same BMW event I did back in June. Also, anyone signed up for the Mazda event in two weeks?

I haven't went, but I have registered for something similiar for GM at Epcot Center on Nov. 12. I went to it before but was unable to test drive the cars I really wanted to get behind the wheel of (GTO and Corvette) due to an excessive long line. Instead I only had the chance to drive a pontiac G6 (blah, cheap interior, i'd rather be driving my brother's maxima) and Saturn Redline Ion (fun lil supercharged car, but the power at the top of rpm range is very short lived).

Now they've implemnted time slots so hopefully this time I'll be abe to drive some cars of my choosing (05 GTO, Corvette, CTS V+)

I did, I was there at 9am and saw your sedan there I was looking for you, but never got to see you. I went to their event last year and was expecting a lot more cars this time, so that was kind of disappointing. I'm not sure what Lexus is trying to prove at these events. But neither last year, nor this year did I drive a Lexus which I liked more than the competition. The 530 and E500 destroyed the GS and so did the 330 compared to the IS. Not to mention that the blue SC430 I drove was shaking violently - something was wrong with this car and it only had 430 miles on the odo. Don't they test them before every event? I read your comments in the thread you linked, and I agree with you. But then again, Lexus cars don't mix with performance so I wasn't expecting anything better. I believe Mazda Rev it up was organized in a similar fashion, except there were no competitor vehicles, but the huge lines were there. They did however have an all-day auto-X event or something to that effect. I am going to the one in 2 weeks, again Saturday 9am. Hope to see you there.

Sorry I missed you at the Lexus event. I would have wanted you to meet my wife and my cousin.

My cousin and I will be at the same Mazda event on Saturday. Our start time is 9:30, so I'll be on the lookout.
