Need help with tire decisions.

My wheels are here (Volks GT-7 Gunmetal 19x9.5 +30 & 19x10.5 +24)…I get them put on this Friday but I need some help on tire sizes…decisions decisions. I don’t plan to drop but after all my research I am still sooo confused.

Here is the dilemma…

I can get them put on Friday with 245/35/19 & 275/35/19 T1R’s which they have in stock.
--OR--
I can get them put on Friday with the Bad A$$ Bridgestone’s for the same price as the T1R’s!! They happen to have one set of theses in stock with a Major discount…but only in the size of 255/35/19 & 285/30/19?!
--OR ELSE--
I will have to wait another next week for the 255/35/19 & 285/35/19 T1R’s to come in.

Please help with suggestions…

I think the 285/30 will throw off the vdc....I am not 100% sure. Give it a few and other will do the math on that tire diameter. I am going with a 255/35/19 up front and 295/30/19 in the rear. I know that works for sure. See if they will give you a 295/30/19 in the rear for the same price.

this is what todd posted a while back

For a 9.0 inch wheel width: The 255/35/19 (compared to the 225/45/18 stock wheels) gives a speedometer reading that is 0.2% too slow. When your speed-o says 60mph you'll really be traveling 60.1 mph. This is what I chose with my PIAA's.
Rears:
For a 10.0 inch wheel width: The 275/35/19 (compared to the 245/45/18 stock wheel) gives a speedometer reading that is 0.4% too fast. When your speed-o says 60mph you'll really be traveling 59.8 mph. This is what I chose with my PIAA's.

For a 10.5 or 11.0 inch wheel width: The 285/30/19 (compared to the 245/45/18 stock wheel) gives a speedometer reading that is 3.6% too fast. When your speed-o says 60mph you'll really be traveling 57.9 mph.
I'm not sure if a 285/30/19 will cause VDC problems or not. I guess it depends on what you use on the fronts. I've read that many people run a 285/30/20 (which is almost EXACTLY the same diameter as the 245/45/18) but don't recall seeing too many 285/30/19's. Besides just having a smaller sidewall to protect those expensive rims, the 285/30/19 diameter is off by a pretty large margin IMO.
plus you can check any other combo here:

IMO i'll wait an extra week for the 255/35 & 285/35, although i'm very happy w/ my 245/35 and 275/35 combo

The 30 series most likely will cause VDC issues. However, they will be approximately 1" smaller in outer diameter than the 35 series, so they will be smaller in the wheel, and thus look funny, IMO. WAIT - and get the proper size. 245/35 in front and 275/35 in the back.

Don't hold your breath on the 255/35/19 Toyo Proxies T1R's.

I put a $100 deposit down yesterday afternoon on a set through Racing Zone and was told that it would be ATLEAST a week (which translates into several months in Racing Zone speak) before the tires are in.

They even used the dreaded term "National back order".

The Pilot Sports are nice but extremely expensive. You can get the Toyo's for under $1000 for 4 tires mounted balanced and installed and that's ~$400 cheaper than the Michellins.

I'd say wait for the 255/35/19's but what do I know?
