If there is anyone in the following counties:

Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Holmes, Washington, Bay, Jackson, Calhoun, Gulf, Gadsden, Leon, Liberty, Franklin, Wakulla, Jefferson, Madison, Taylor, Hamilton, Suwannee, Lafayette, Dixie, Gilchrist, Levy, Columbia, Baker, Nassau, Duval, Union, Clay, Bradford, St. Johns, Putnam, Alachua, Marion and Flagler

...who would like to be on the FGC Board of Directors effective almost immediately please list your name below for the present BOD to consider.

The qualifications are that you be a current FGC Member in good standing and that you are at least 21 years of age.

Duties for this year will be minimal at best. There will be a few issues that we will be voting on, like how to spend money, how much money to spend, where to hold meets, whether to accept new sponsors or not, etc... (The details of the next All Florida Meet are presently being handled.)

Unfortunately Redwillow and Meatshackle are both in positions where they can no longer serve as directors due to personal and/or business obligations. Fortunately they're still both very active club members and we appreciate all they've done in support of the club.

I think I'll be ready in another years' time after board exams pass and things slow down a bit.

How often do you have board meetings? I guess everyone would meet in O-town.

we have a private forum here on driver...plus occasional conference calls. We cant have in-person meetings due to the distance of SFL directors from the rest of the flipping country.

Jamacia,

You're missing a doozy of a round robin in the BOD forum today. I'm getting pummeled from the top rope by 2 other directors, but I kick in the nads for self defense (right Wes), so it's all good.

yeah good thing we all have thick skin...just bad thing that we are all very stubborn intense people

overall its fun though...if u spend 3-5hrs a week on driver then u spend enough time to be a director for NFL

Yeah...today's posts are worth the price of admission by itself.

I can think of no one better to serve as Director than Jamacia. He has tried to organize group events and local gainesville meets. He has shown himself to be dedicated to the club from just his actions.

Jamacia, You would enjoy being a BOD and like Wes says, it's not a full time job or anything and most stuff gets handled via phone or forum anyways. If you spend time on the Driver anyways, then its not bad at all. It's actually kinda fun. You should really consider it...PM me if you have any specific NFL questions.

Funny thing is that Jamacia's name has actually come up in the BOD Forum with links to posts about him trying to get a NFL meet going. You've got people pullin' for you man...

How about Paul/Pearlwhite03 (Greddy TT white coupe)? I've seen him try to collect people to meet up to have a get together on this forum and my350z.com for the UF/Gainesville area. Would he be interested?

yeah, PearlWhite03 = Paul

we've met up quite a few times at local car club meets n stuff. Pretty cool guy. He might be your man for the time - I'm not sure about how busy he is... I'm still considering it though.

It's kind of like... "woo hoo, the hottie said maybe"... Well this year your duties wouldn't really be that taxing. The next NFL meet is all but scheduled and finalized. The big thing will be seeing how things work so that you can jump in running next year.

Plus there are 6 other directors as of now that would all be there to help you out if you had any questions...
