Wilma is gone!!!!

I am in Vero Beach (Indian River County.) We didn't get it so badly...only Cat 1 winds here.

Half our county is out of power; I am on generator power now. The house was perfect.

I hope everyone else is okay, too!!!

The pictures being shown on the news up north here looked real bad. Looks like Wilma had an exceptionally wide path that affected almost the entire state. Maybe this will be the last one for all you Floridians, you've sure been through alot this year.

Hope all that were affected are safe.

I just talked to my friend whom lives somewhere between Weston and Fort Lauderdale, he finally got power back up tonight!!! He said that what many people didn't realize was that the hurricane actually gain strength after hitting land near Marco Island. Because of the warm waters of Everglades, the hurricane may have strengthen to a Cat. 3 by the time it hit Broward County. Some areas outside his neighborhood may not get power until next week at the earliest. Oh, BTW, the only resturant open for business in his neighborhood was "Wendys". Are there any FGC members in that area? It's been one he!! of a season of storms and hurricanes.
