Thanks for offering, it's no biggie if you'd rather drive up on Friday, I can always ride up with Roly or someone else on Saturday
did u buy another comp already? if not you can always build one ur self and save a lot of $$$ and have a way better comp. you can get part from newegg and put them together ur self, its pretty easy

Damn escobar, that was my suggestion but she said that putting that stuff together is too much to handle.

thats what most people think until they actually do it, i dont like to buy computers pre-build cause they come w/ some good parts but really crappy others. and they cost twice as much.

w/ about a 1k budget you can build a top of the line comp, dual core processor, invidia 7800gt, etc...

Nope, but that's the next thing I have to do on my list. And it's not that I don't want to build one, it's that I don't know the first thing about computers or what to get. And I don't need anything fancy, so 1k would be out of the question :/

then more of a reason for u to build it urself, that way its a learning experience and you'll get more for ur money

You forgot I don't even know where to order the parts from or where to go do research Been busy lately, so the computer has been the last thing on my mind. Wow, you're about to hit 2,000 posts you post *****!

oh yeah, thats cool 2k post for me

try newegg for parts

thats the most confusing and uninformed group of information iv ever seen

1) building a top of the line computer is well more than $1000 (iv got one in mind that will cost $2079 in parts + shipping)
&
2) cheap computers can not be built cheaper than they can be purchased (only high end ones can be)

^^^ Wes is absolutely correct.

If you want a cheap computer buy a Dell.

If you want something better, faster, more rugged, or higher quality, build it yourself.

Generally, people who know exactly what they want, can build them... That's why I buy 'em at work and build 'em at home...

Well it depends what you want the PC for. If you need it for Email and word processing - Yeah go get a dell. If you want to have your own Media library - Movies, MP3 and photos - build one for yourself. I have been able to build great systems for 1,200 or 1,400 that work as central servers at home for all of that ... but then again if your going to load it up with ... other things ... keep it in your room - but make sure you get a great video card!

as far as myself, when i build my next comp i'll prob be goin w/ this for my processor:
