dave

i would also leave the black wire alone and just move it to a different input.
i am in missouri visiting my parents so i dont have my 350z service manual, but i am flying back into tampa tomorrow so i can look into it better tomorrow night and report back with what i find might be the best fix.

yeh yeh yeh

thats what i use now
the bc garage works off a trial and error basis

which is not to say that i made an error in my previous installs (they all work correctly and will work), we just have found a better solution.

When is the BC garage going to be back in Orlando?

But wait, I'll be in Tampa/Clearwater this Saturday.

Yes Dan, mine is working fine....except that occasionally i hit lock twice and only the sunroof closes or only the window but 85% of the time both close

Thanks guys for all the replies, questions and suggestions... let me see if I can cover them all....

I'm using the truck/hatch pin for the trigger. I saw the warnings about the door pins drawing too much current so I went with the trunk pin.

Dan, you wrote "leave the black wire alone and just move it to a different input". What "it" are you referring to, the trigger? Or, the sensor itself? Is the steering column the recommended place now? Or, should I just try to get it farther away from the door (kick panel)?

Does it matter which orientation the sensor is mounted in?

I believe Dan's explanation about the door closing causing the sensor to ground the trigger and make the BCM think that the door/hatch is open is right on target. Since the black wire controls when the sensor "turns on", that's why I thought if it went on a delayed power, it would stay off for a few seconds more allowing me to close the door and have it not trip the trigger.

Dave

what i meant by that dave was maybe move teh trigger wire off the door pin to the trunk pin but it appears that you already have it on the trunk pin. you could try moving it to a different location that might help

no that doesnt matter
you can mount it however you want.

i think that would probably be the best thing dave but i am not sure where you would find that type of wire.
ill talk with kevin and see what we can come up with. like i said before i dont have my service manual with me since im at my parents.
