Sebring...Chinmotorsports...April 15...Saturday

I'll be there again. Some people said it would sound like fun last time I went. It could be the next mini meet I can't believe I missed the Jan 21st meet at Lokey...I need and oil change as well as hanging out.

I'll be bringing out the new daily driver toy.......95 Mustang GT 5.0 with minor engine work, Vortech Supercharger, etc......450whp and only 65k on the odo. It gets 28mpg on the highway. Not bad for $8500!

Have you ever been to a NASA driving school. Are there the same number of cars on the track at one time...or more. I felt really comfortable with the amount of traffic...or the lack of during the NASA event. Since Chinmotorsports promises more driving time, does that mean more cars on the track. At the end of the day, I was in a bit of a rythm and had decent speed, but I still felt nervous about any cars around me. You know, it wasn't like I was the only one with no experience.

Of course I am going to give a go. I hope that it is just as fun if not more, since Chin goes to Sebring more often. I like the idea of being able to go when it convient for me...not just when NASA will be there.

Pricing and Fees
Membership: Like most track time car clubs, Chin Motorsports has an annual membership, required for all drivers. The $50 annual dues permits your registration in any of our 20 planned events in the coming season. We will visit 8 different tracks ranging from Watkins Glen in the north, all the way to Homestead/Miami in the south, as well as Mid-Ohio. Members also get discounts at selected parts/safety equipment providers.
Registration: The registration fee for a track event is in a range from $200-$350 per day, depending on the track, for a solo-qualified driver. Our open-track format can provide for as much as 5 hours of available track time, more than most other formats. We accept a limited number of cars and drivers for each event.
Instruction: An entry level/novice driver pays an additional $65 instructor fee, which provides for an expert in-car instructor throughout the day. A driver that has already been solo-qualified is exempt from the instructor requirement. Novice driver registration is limited in each event.
Car sharing: Add a co-driver sharing the same car for $75.
Additional car: A primary driver may add a second car to the same registration for $75. (Co-driver not permitted in 2nd car)
Passengers: Passengers can participate in our events by registering at the track and purchasing a passenger wristband for $20. Passengers must be at least 18 yrs old (16 yo with parents permission). Passengers are permitted to ride only with solo-qualified drivers.
