WTF....I just ate carnauba wax!!

picked up a box of "Sno-Caps" as I havent seen them around since my days of working in the movie theater. Anyways....while the box was upside down....I glanced at the ingredients which consisted of:

Semi-sweet chocolate
Sugar
Cornstarch

AND

Carnauba wax!

Wtf. Learn something new everyday. So next time you are waxing your car...take a chunk for yourself

* I am absolved from any liability if any idiot, incuding Marbels, really attempts to ingest carnauba wax due to the direct or indirect result of this post.

Carnuba wax is in a lot of stuff to eat. It likely helps keeps the product a solid at room temperature.

The carnuba wax is a solid at room temperature and is much better than eating hydrogenated oils, which do the same thing but are the source of trans-fatty acids, which are thought to be bad for you.

And since it's listed last, there's not much of it in there anyway. Ingredients are usually listed in order of % content. Most -> Least.

He should be more worried about the 48 grams of sugar he just ate.
